Dylan: If Not For You
Dylan: Under The Red Sky
both songs are obviously amongst his weakest songs (don't mention the lyrics), but I somehow like them (live versions rather than the studio versions)

I may be removed or suspended once again but I like Abba too.
But my favorite song, with respect to genre, from the 60s -not sure if it is Bubblegum or not is "You Babe" by the Turtles!!!

"You Baby" by The Turtles is a perfect record.

I wouldn't call it Bubblegum. It's like a well-crafted Beach Boys single. You could call it "pop" or maybe even the more recent term "sunshine pop," but the snap of the drums and the harmonies are excellent. And the SOUND of that guitar opening...my god, it just encapsulates the era perfectly. When I hear it, I'm sent back in time...
But ironically, it's also a timeless record.

The above TV appearance demonstrates how well the film That Thing You Do re-created the mid-60's Top 40 world.

Kind of off the beaten path, but:
Where Were You When I Needed You by The Grassroots.
A close tie for second place:
Baby Blue and Day After Day by Badfinger
At least for today, those are my favorites.
