He made a plea for donations...no performance...was that it?
Maybe that was a brief pre-recorded clip...he looked the same as seen in the pic posted on previous page in front of painting....

I couldn't watch it, either. Was there no singing? Nothing? Not even an a capella War Baby?

Watched off and on for two hours, and not counting the clip of Mick asking for donations, this guy was the closest thing to a Mick performance....smiling smiley

Yes because as we all know well, Mick has a deep deep attachment to the "wage earners" and empathy for the struggle they endure. Regular salt of the earth guy he is.

Hey Rockman, snap! I also thought that the dress had an Indian look about it! And is that a Brazilian mask of some kind to the right?

@jbwelda - isn't it a case of damned if he says or does something and damned if he doesn't? I'm curious to know what you think he and all the rest of them in similar shoes should do?

You doubt 58 years of deep concern for the people who make the Stones merch, the sales of which has helped make him a very rich man?

Why don't the Stones make some cool looking LIGT T-Shirts ($20) and donate the proceeds to India?

They've done it recently twice - but not for India (yet):

OWTAH: "In connection with the Rolling Stones performance on Global Citizen’s 'One World: Together at Home' Special, 100% of the net proceeds generated from the purchase of this T-Shirt shall be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, powered by the United Nations Foundation (covid19responsefund.org)." -- [Store.GlobalCitizen.org] .

LIAGT: "All net proceeds from the sale of this product will be donated to the COVID-19 relief efforts of The Musicians Benevolent Fund, working as Help Musicians UK, a registered charity (number 228089 in England and Wales), with a minimum donation per product sold of £10/€10/$10." - (similar donations in USA & Germany) -- [TheRollingStonesShop.com] - [Store.DigitalStores.co.uk] - [www.Bravado.de] .

So it turned out to be that the suggestion that Mick might sing a song or something was wrong. But it always fun to speculate what could happen and project there own expectations and things like ...grinning smiley

I guess it was a class act by Mick to just turn up and help the cause by asking donatations. There is a danger of overdoing stuff. He with the Stones just stole the One World show, and they just released quite much hyped corona song out. Had he made one more high profile appearance people might have start thinking 'is that guy milking out any possible PR cent out of corona' or something... too much is too much, and Mick & The Stones always have had an ability to control the output by not offering too much (it's quite the opposite: they make people ask more). Probably there is a part of that there is so much Stones activity now that he doesn't want to rock the boat by 'turning solo' - if nothing else, to help to ease the blood pressure of certain folks here...grinning smiley

Well the Stones donate based on prospective sales of their own merchandise. If I contribute then it is out of my pocket and impacts my own standing. I'm always suspect of celebrities, supermarkets, organizations, and others whom use status to ask others to contribute - where their lively hood is not affected at all.

True, but then again, we don't know how much they - The Stones - personally donate. I recall reading that they have done it in the past but don't want to make a big number of that. That's probably pretty English attitude.

Well that was a bit of a letdown, not in the least because that has to be one of Mick's worst acting jobs ever, and that's no mean feat ;-) Well at least he showed up !

Right! How do you know he doesn´t donate? Just because he is aksing other people to do? That implies for you he`s keeping his pounds/dollars for himself?
Come on - you can do much better than this.
Even you may be don´t like Mick so much.

Mick is wearing that dinosaur shirt again! I saw it from photos of him in Venice for Burnt Orange Heresy. Such a great jab at critics crying that the Stones are too old...
