Facebook Teams With Global Entertainment Industry for India Coronavirus Fundraiser

Social media giant Facebook has recruited the cream of global entertainment industry talent for a home-to-home concert designed to raise funds for those affected by the coronavirus pandemic in India.

International participants at the May 3 ‘I For India’ concert will include Bryan Adams, Mick Jagger, Mindy Kaling, Jack Black, Nick Jonas, Sophie Turner and Will Smith. Similarly, a large contingent of A-list Indian talent will take part, including Shah Rukh Khan, A.R. Rahman, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Vidya Balan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Indian cricket superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will also appear at the concert.

The event has three aims: to entertain those locked down; to pay tribute to those who are working on the front lines; and to raise funds for those who have no work or home and do not know where their next meal is coming from. All of the proceeds from the concert will go to the Covid-19 response fund managed by GiveIndia.

I see A.R. Rahman is listed ...maybe he and Mick will perform a Superheavy tune?
Or maybe a new collaboration? Or maybe a Stones tune? Maybe even Ghost Town ?

A SuperHeavy tune is certainly in order. We can all hum along with Joss Stone.

I wanna see Mick Jagger! - like that stoned chick in GIMME SHELTER shouts...grinning smiley

EDIT: I meant the link with the big picture by bye bye johnny. Seemingly the one by DiegoGlimmerStones is the right one.thumbs up

A real surprise like 1/2 A Loaf or Kow Tow would be cool and gutsy.

Well, there might be folks in the world finding the message of "Let's Work" fitting now...winking smiley

But of any Jagger solo song more apt and respectful for the situation now, only "Party Doll" comes to mind, and even that hardly... What about an acoustic version of "Gotta Get A Grip", that would be something...

Most likely Mick will cover some Stones song or cover someone else, like some blues classic (YES!!)..

But isn't it still just an suggestion that he will actually perform something? Could he just talk, for example?

Funny thing with Jagger, you never know...

When he's going "solo" - that's very true

And on occations like this, I think he, too, just like me, doesn't think it would be appropriate or neccessary to make "a show" - as he (they) proved on that previous net-stream for the sake of Corona.
Point is just to show up, for a good cause. - in addition ,it would be difficult to do a hi-ho 80s pop-song, alone, in ones own apartment. Allthough Jagger would be the man for the job if it was needed!

Nice...just tuned in...pretty woman in the beautiful garden jamming on a sitar...perfect Sunday morning music....smiling smiley

Edit; Well, things got a bit crazier and louder with rambunctious and boisterous Indian man wailing away while isolated inside...not really Sunday morning music anymore haha, but still nice...thumbs up

"Charmed Life" might be perfect.
