Start up The Rolling Stones’ greatest hits, exclusive stories & more all month long

Rolling Stones Radio will start up this Friday, May 1 at 9am ET, giving listeners all the Rolling Stones music they want and more all month long.

Rolling Stones Radio, which debuted on SiriusXM in 2008, has been updated and expanded, giving new and lifelong Stones fans a comprehensive journey through the band’s almost six-decade career, while also including their new song “Living In A Ghost Town,” which was completed during quarantine. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood share thoughts and memories about writing and recording their biggest songs, performing live, friendships, and the band’s legacy. Rolling Stones Radio will be available all month on the SiriusXM app in the Rock category.

SiriusXM has collaborated with legendary artists and their representatives to create personally curated audio experiences for listeners everywhere. Alongside The Rolling Stones, listeners can hear channels dedicated to megastars David Bowie, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, George Strait, Guns N’ Roses, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and Prince starting on Friday, May 1.

To make these special experiences accessible to everyone, SiriusXM also revealed an extension of SiriusXM’s unprecedented Stream Free access offer through May 31, making the full lineup of Premier Streaming content available to any listener in North America.

This seems like it was meant to be a tie-in with the cancelled tour that went ahead anyway. Reminds me of all the press Daniel Craig has been receiving lately which the PR had lined up to coincide with the release of the new Bond film which is also delayed due to CV19.

I tried a VPN but didn't get past payment, I guess they won't accept a non-US credit card.

It still asks for a credit card when I go to that address.

I assume that is so they can just start charging you after the 30 day trial period, rather than just shutting off access and asking you to sign up (again) on a pay-per-listen basis....it's an easy way to make money off of people's forgetfulness.

I don't know for sure b/c I don't use it.

the small print probably explains this in legal language that is clear as mud.

I didn't see this thread but I had posted in "What are you listening to". Downloaded the app for free. Great tunes. They came out of the gates on the first day.

Yes, my problem is even if I use a VPN to pretend I'm in the US it still ask for an US address and likely a US credit card. At least it didn't accept my Finnish-issued Mastercard. Didn't try with my Visa card yet. Oh well.

Sirius really is US/Canada only.

Lol.

Also current comments from all the members thrown in, which is nice.
Ronnie referring to the isolation and doing what they can for the fans etc.
Charlie also had some good comments, in re to the fans, talking about the deep connection and how that's "why they do most of their work on the road".
Good stuff.

Been listening the past couple hours. No pre Rolling Stones Records recordings that I heard. They did play live versions of older songs but no originals pre 1971. Kind of odd.

Is there even a host on these things? Or do the songs just play randomly. If so, not really any different to listening to random playlist on Spotify or whatever streaming app.
