It's not often you get to quote your own message ... but I received the second of my CD singles this morning (it came from Berlin) and it seems very appropriate for it to be delivered today. Thank you again Alan.

I never got to meet him and only in death do I know his proper name.
But I had many a pleasant few words with him over the decades.
He was to be relied on for facts and often told me off for the occasional misposted information, but for that very reason I loved him.
I thank him for pointing out a couple of rare tracks, the last I bought with his nod was the London Palladium EP .
Rest In Peace Alan you will be sadly missed.
