For one thing I noticed in the radio mix edit version his voice is different after "stuck in a whirlwind" than on the album and video versions.

Also the vocoder is still used, just doesn't sound as much.

The minutiae and nit-picking are breathtaking on this topic. 53 pages....it's a single..and not bad-but not great. I've seen the word "Brilliant" used...Seriously WTF?!. Great to see it released and love the DJ bass and all that but everyone take a deep breath and drink a beer...it ain't no 'Gimme Shelter'. I mean...'vocoders'...LOL!!! Whatever man. Just enjoy it instead of overthinking the ?>%$#@^&! out of it.

Some people enjoy the science/work put into a song. LOL maybe YOU need to drink a beer.

I like both versions, maybe this newest one a little better, though I miss the added verse.

There does appear to be a 5th version on Youtube: a "slowed-down" version with a few different effects sprinkled throughout, though I'm guessing its an unofficial, fan-made version. For what it's worth, here it is:

I like the way this radio edit mix is and the direction it was taking
rather than the original single version. Micks vocals are not so thin (sound much better). It's a bit more groovy and sluggish (<< and I mean sluggish in a good way). One could tell this is the way the original was taking shape for the album (which is what I figured because hearing the single version Iknew it was not entirely as it was intended ... instead they hurriedly spruced it up for a radio single. Needed a few more months and kept in this vane and then it would of served as a deeper cut on the album IMO. This radio edit / mix is actually more quality.

Oh, yeah, four, I was talking about the first and the fourth, the radio edit. Good point on Mick's voice there, Ian.

I prefer the single. This edit was pretty rough. It was nice to hear what was perfected for the single, though

radio edit is def more powerfu...guitars are more in your face too...love it.

Radio edit is way better. The original was too long, guitars muted and Mick sounded shallower than normal. Also snare was too upfront.

New edit fixed most issues I had with original. Still just an ok song. No one will be playing it in 3 months ever again lol
