A lot of thanks to nurses and healthcare workers - but give them a fair payment!

Governments could cut their wages by a significant amount and they would still turn up for work.Governments know the kind of people who do this work would do it for free so unfortunately they take advantage of them and keep them on low wages.

Sure, but who wants to pay more taxes ? Up to now, NO ONE, and let's not even get into tax havens, including those in Europe, maybe things will change after this...

There's an account on Twitter that is quite funny as it rates the various home setups commentators and guests etc have configured in their homes for the live feeds. [twitter.com]

in that vein.. and based solely on these stills:

Mick- 9/10 *Great artwork, curtains, professional setup. Cons- Needs a bit better lighting for this.
Keith 7/10 *Comfortable looking, Keith looks good. Cons- A little too comfortable looking, Pictures hung too low, and what's up with the bubbly??
Ronnie- 6/10 *Great lighting, Interesting plant (or art piece?), Ronnie looks good. Cons- Would have expected a little more "pop" and color from Ronnie. Looks like he's at the top of a stairway, I know he's got cooler rooms.. his studio would have been better.
Charlie- 10/10 It's fricken Charlie Watts -that's it!

I'm betting it's Salt of the Earth with some lyric changes in support of health care workers.

Salt of the Earth would be a fairly easy one to perform in this fairly straightforward performance if done in this way.
Gotta wait and see what happens ......... with this really great night of music from so many talented guys and gals from all over the world.
God Bless you all Everyone.smileys with beer

I hope you are right Late Bloomer. Probably the most appropriate Stones song for the occasion..."say a prayer for the common foot soldier".
However, Charlie's set-up doesn't look up to the task.

Salt of the Earth would fit perfectly.

Mick was rehearsing with an electric guitar. Are they doing more than one song?

Perfect song choice for tonight, well known, its on their best selling album which is currently charting on both UK and US, a great way to push more sales/streams into it.

They should do a new song. I really don’t even care with the technology if they lip sync the damn thing to be honest.

They're going to do:

Gomper
Potted Shrimp
Andrew's Blues

It would be very cool if it's only the 4 principles playing on this performance. But I feel like there will be a backing track with the choir singing

I would estimate around 6PM California time, this setlist is for the 2 hour broadcast portion after the livestream that's currently running.

I don't care if Charlie asks if we can hear him, Keith faces the wrong way, Mick struts out of screen or Ronnie's toddler take over controls....

I just appreciate the effort.

Possibly not correct in all cases. Comedy Central Austria just has the usual comedy shows.

Reminds me of Live Aid in 1985, when Bowie wanted to do an intercontinental duo performance of Dancing In The Street with himself performing in London while Mick would contribute his part in Philadelphia. Couldn't be done because of the satellite delay.

There was even talk of one of them going into orbit for the duet grinning smiley Thw promoter, Harvey Goldsmith mentioned it in a live aid documentary, they may have placed a call to NASA grinning smiley

May have had a long term effect, though: Here's Astronaut Chris Hadfield on the ISS doing Major Tom:

I'll be happy with YCAGWYW. The guitar Mick had in the rehearsal photo worried me it might be Miss You. Love it live - hell, I enjoy every number at a Stones show - but maybe wouldn't have worked in this format. Hope we all get another chance to see the boys live after this is all over! If not, what a legacy!

Would have loved salt of the earth, brought tears to my eyes, when played at Twickenham.

But happy with song choice. thumbs up

Poor song choice and poor execution. Love Paul but his voice is sadly not what it once was. I also hope the Stones do YCAGWYW...that would hopefully turn out really well.
