Nothing has ever made me as wildly happy as watching Charlie practically sitting on the floor drumming on pots, looking bemused, slightly pleased with himself and...happy!

This is a historical moment for the Rolling Stones, Charlie pretending to play drums grinning smiley Loveeeed it !

I think they all looked surprisingly good. I wonder where the drums were coming from...prerecorded backing track? I wonder if it was actually Charlie playing them for the track?

Keith Urban didn't sound bad either. Never really heard him before because I socially distanced long before it was fashionable, but it was pretty great. More energy than the Stones, that's for sure, but he is probably half their age.

I think I can hear some additional keyboards in the background...

Yeah, there were keyboards, presumably got in the same way as Charlie's drum sound winking smiley

It wouldn't have hurt if Keith had rehearsed a little, too.

Charlie used to pretend to play drums a lot, every lip synched Ready Steady Go just for a start.

There is a competition for playing air guitar.
Is there also one for playing air drums?

It almost seems like Charlie had the most fun, you'd never see him smile like this in a real concert! winking smiley

A treat Keith doing the odd bit of backing vocal

I really liked Keith's surroundings, presumably his place in the USA. Looked pretty down home, and lot of kool stuff to look at. Not pretentious, just comfortable and lived in.

Which homes did you think they came from?

Keith, New York?

I think Charlie used some app where your hand movements are the drums.
Right side = cymbal.
center = snare ect.

It was great to see the boys looking healthy and happy although I DONT UNDERSTAND Why Charlie didn't have any real drums at hand.

Poor choice of songs by Elton John and McCartney. Why play songs that require a full band to sound right. Tons of songs they could have played that would have been better. Charlie's expression was priceless.

The production varies a lot haha. Rolling Stones on the lower end of the scale.

Miking drums properly isn't easy and Charlie probably didn't have the proper equipment. And this way the sound is clean and still feels live. Plus we get to see Charlie reacting to the whole thing and having fun (look at his face when Mick says 'C'mon Charlie !').

This Burna Boy guy is pretty good too, best I have heard so far I think (not taking away from the Stones of course, or the others), I think he is coming across really well and his song is strong.

I am glad they had fun. Keith even sang and strummed a few times.....

Ronnie was rockin'....you know he does this most days anyways!

Charlie stole the show though....

Next tour, I want an upholstered chair next to the drum kit!

His wife won't let him keep drums at home, too much racket!

Authentically in their homes riding this out and they put out a very high quality sound!

Much better than most really, definitely better than Eltons basketball court cool smiley
