Got confused for a moment.

To avoid confusion:

· 6-hour Live-Stream (only streaming) starts 2pm USA (East Coast) and 8pm Central Europe.

· 2-hour Linear Broadcast (TV + streaming) starts 8pm USA (East Coast) and 2am (Sunday morning) Central Europe.

If I am a Trump supporter, and this event is a collaboration with The WHO, and made to support the mentioned UN-organisation (that according to the president of the United States of America is with China the cause for this epidemia to spread), should I boycott it? Or am I allowed to use double-standards here? Can I have my cake and eat it too?

As they’re “the bad boys of rock & roll” why not just play something a little more mischievous? I’m sure they won’t play the likes of “Some Girls”, “Little T & A” or “She’s So Cold”, but it would be hilarious if they did. I’d imagine SFTD is out too. I’d be cool with “Street Fighting Man”, and “Salt Of The Earth” would be fine.

Whatever it is, I’ll just watch the replay to skip all the fluff. At the same 8 pm US Eastern/5 pm US western time, guitarist Jorma Kaukonen will be live streaming his third straight Saturday complete show from his Fur Peace Ranch in Southern Ohio. These shows have been stellar, and this week he will be joined via split screen by his sheltering in place Jefferson Airplane bandmate Jack Cassady as they reprise their Hot Tuna collaboration.

Tonight’s stream, 8 p.m. Eastern U.S. time

[m.youtube.com]
Jorma solo-April 4, 2020 @ Fur Peace Ranch

[m.youtube.com]
Jorma mostly solo, with one guest, his friend John Hurlbut for a tribute to John Prine with a cover of his “Angel From Montgomery”

Jorma is still very much on top of his game. This is some high caliber musicianship, and has been a welcome interlude in the shutdown era.

Enjoy sitting through the One World show everyone, but it’s just too much of a mixed bag for me.

I am. Not only for that reason, but because I can't possibly imagine even the Stones doing anything on this that will make me think "wow, that was amazing".

I can foresee many errors for this event. Actually the fiasco will be appeasing and unnoticeable as our hearts bleed for all -

I just can't see Charlie participating in something like this. Like he's going to want some 20 year old nerd setting up a Zoom session in his living room. "F*ck off" will be his response.

"Whether the group intends to perform together, remotely, via some kind of Zoom-like arrangement was not disclosed. But the Stones’ core quartet of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood will all be taking part, a Global Citizen spokesperson confirmed."

Charlie is a decent chap. And while it wouldn't his idea, he has always said yes to the boys.

But yes it is amusing to think someone who reportedly shuns cell phones will be zooming in.

I assume that most of it will be prerecorded clips. Not exactly Live Aid.

Bunny suit overdrive.

I'd like them to play Dear Doctor

Just seemed like an appropriate song under the circumstances.

My guess is they will play a short set like they did at the 12/12 concert.

Our boys are getting close to slipping off the "list" for things like this.

Time waits for no one after all.

Hard to imagine fifteen-year-olds grooving out on seventy-five-year-olds.

I went to my first concert in 2015 b/c my teen asked me take them.
I said, they're too old.....

Possibly their only performance of 2020.

I have seen them play in every year since the comeback 2012-2019
If this is the only time they play in 2020 can I claim the streak continued?

Most likely their only performance of 2020.

Their names are numbers but not even on a piece of plastic film! They have outlived the CD era!

The "performance" will be Dropboxed mp4 files and somebody will put it all together!

When I was a teenager in the 1970s we loved the hot bands from back in the 1920s!

The Carter Family were da bomb!

Thanks for that info Irix.

Wondering why is Adam Lambert hogging up two different time slots?

Same to some others like The Killers: just more than one performance.

As I would expect, the video and sound quality are much better on a premium service (I'm watching on Amazon) than it is on a free service, like YouTube.

Few if any of the live stream artists interest me, but what else do we have to do?

YouTube streams currently per default in 720p and can manually be switched to 1080p Full-HD.
