I wonder if Mr. Freezer is still out there

I haven't posted for years, but I wonder if Freezer is still alive and well. He still has some great audience recordings in his vault.

Freezer is not amongst us anymore.

Thank you. I never knew his name, but it was to me that he entrusted samples of his shows for distribution several years ago.

To say it nice: "He was one of a kind".
Not around anymore, but his recordings hopefully do (somewhere).

Mike Millard and Freezer were 2 of the tapers that are known by their recordings. Every taper homes to be remembered in that fashion.

Imho Millard's legacy will be far stronger than Freezer's... unless someone starts a "Parr tapes" torrent program at Dime.

I hope his recording from the Zeppelin show in '77 sees the light of day...

I'd bet he willingly destroyed this one just to anger the fanbase of this band (which he particularly hated!). grinning smiley

From His master: Mobile 6-27-72. Also alternate 2 gen of the same show.

From his first gens:Akron 7-11-72; Cleveland 6-14-75; L.A. 7-11-75; Louisville 8-4-75.

**The L.A. show may be first or second gen.

He also sent a CD of sample tracks from several of his favorites, for which one of the members of IORR made some nice artwork and which was widely distributed.

BOBM would you mind posting your recordings here?

That would be extremely nice in those stressful times. thumbs up

I guess I just did...and over at Trader's Den as well. Put up my whole Freezer collection, I reckon, except for the stuff that's not allowed (e.g. Allman Brothers).

If anybody has others I don't have, well, bring 'em on! Regardless of what you may think of the man personally, people, Freezer still made some of the best audience recordings of the 1970's. I prefer his recordings to Millard's, frankly...

They were excellent tapers that's for sure... troubled souls too...
