The book will be worth the wait. Bill knows Stones collecting - what’s authentic
and what’s not. He collects the “one of a kind” items and the “much of a kind items”. His collection is his passion and he loves to share this with fellow fans - collectors and non collectors.

Haha — Bill should be Matt. This is what happens when in a hurry with
autocorrect on. Sorry for any confusion.

Well you got me there Koen. I must have been thinking of Bill’s auction
which I had participated in over the weekend. I had just finished looking over the final results - via the link found within the Wyman auction thread.
Looks like there were some bargains within the auction but also some crazy
high prices as well. Some lots sold under the auction estimate and many lots went far above the estimate. There was over a thousand lots.

Always helps to preview and proofread before hitting the post button.

Congrats, Matt Lee. There is a long process from talking about writing a book till actually making it happen. (Even if this seems to be mostly a photo book.)
Many people talk about it few get it done. You did it, Matt. Well done.

I ordered mine last week. Hope it gets to me in time for him to sign it at one of the shows IF the tour goes ahead and IF the travel ban is lifted. He plans to be at all shows.

If not, next hope is next year 60th anniversary shows.

Decidedly strange. When I click on the link it shows me the following text in a box on the right....

"Temporarily out of stock.
We are working hard to be back in stock as soon as possible."

And, yes, I just re-re-tested that!

The same with me Steve until I enter a USA address and then it allows pre orders ;-)

Evil Amazon. I'm accessing the USA site, but (obviously) with an IP address not in the USA. Are these not restrictive practices artificially refusing /declining sales to other countries and denying Matt his rightful income?

Thank you! Yes, it's mainly photos, some stories about certain items or collecting adventure stories but it's all really about the 1,400 photos. The reality is I have over 100,000 items so what took the time was finding everything I wanted to put in the book, photographing it, and then getting it all in the right order. Then shooting more things to make nice themed spreads.

I am really pleased with it. Hopefully I achieved what I set out to do which is make a very accessible book with a completely fresh perspective. I couldn't be happier that every band member loved it too and each gave me a handwritten endorsement to feature in the book. A dream come true.

Not specifically no... I don't have everything I lent to the exhibition in there but the most important things like the first contract and the first acetate of course. It's got a pretty even spread of stuff from all eras.

TornAndFried said: Congratulations Matt. This looks fantastic. By the way did you also get endorsements from Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor?

I sent them both proof but got no response... A real shame but I got the big four and I didn't want to wait any longer!

I am honoured that Bill German generously did a fabulous afterword and Craig Kallman a really great foreword. For those that don't know Craig he is the Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Records and probably the biggest private record collector in the world with around 1 million records. I think there are a couple of people with more but Craig only collects genuinely mint stuff.
