Ditto and not your cup of tea? WTF ??

Did you happen to see the Stones perform YCAGWYW a couple weeks back? No btcching about lifestyles, rich, famous there in real time, Eh?

Just saying I thought it was a beautiful bit of time with Rod and his family, thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done IMO.

Do not understand all of the contrarian BS of late

That was fun, thanks for posting. I’m finding all these ‘from home’ broadcasts to be charming and unpretentious. It’s nice of them to make the effort.

Enjoyed this one.. great family Rod seems to have.
Like the ones that include the kids.

Several have.
John Fogerty did a few great songs as well with his kids.

Ronnie Wood too. It was written by the two Ronnie's.

Woody sang it on the Faces version.

Rod's touring Australia in Oct. I have tickets to his Sandleford Winery show in Western Australia on Oct 17.

They're still (attempting to, anyways!) flogging tickets on Ticketmaster.

I wonder when they'll call it off and refund me my money as I highly doubt it'll be going ahead with the Govt still saying all INTERNATIONAL travel is likely to be banned until Q1 or Q2 of 2021.

Yeah a bit early, but if we get this Trans Tasman Air Travel Bubble, outside people may be allowed to enter under some regime, whether it be a 14 day quarantine upon arrival, or some sort of bubble whereby a performer could fly in and out without a close encounter with a citizen.

If both countries get to 28 days without a new case, then we could look at something, I know I want to go to visit Melbourne when I can

Save your "WTF"'s (isn't that out of date, btw?) for when it's needed.
Rolling Stones did the YCAGWYW for a good cause, and I found it charming that it was so amateurish, as they usually are looking for perfection.
Stewart did this video for way different reasons.

Right mate, I'll pocket my "wtf's"

Good cause indeed - the Stone's latest YCAGWYW, which I also immensely enjoyed, because it was "our" band playing live (or semi) and very cool to see.

If Rod's "way different reasons" were him guilty of being a proud family man, then I guess you better sue him. I thought it was well done, while certainly nothing close to perfection. smileys with beer

Another nice one from Curt Smith of Tears For Fears and daughter. Seems a lot of these musicians have some talented kids.

"I watched you suffer a dull aching pain" -

(CNN) Beckett Cypher, the son of Melissa Etheridge
and her former partner Julie Cypher, has died, a
representative for the singer told CNN. He was 21.
The singer mourned her son in a social media post on
Wednesday.
"Today I joined the hundreds of thousands of families
who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction," Etheridge
wrote on Twitter. "My son Beckett, who was just 21,
struggled to overcome his addiction and finally
succumbed to it today. He will be missed by those
who loved him, his family and friends."

She added: "My heart is broken."

Washington’s concert event of the summer unites Seattle music royalty for coronavirus relief

The telethon megaconcert — stacked with a who’s who of home-state talent including Pearl Jam, Brandi Carlile and Macklemore — was supposed to be equal parts fundraiser and Washington love fest to help cure the quarantine blues. A month ago, it seemed unfathomable that anything could supplant a world-altering pandemic at the top of the public consciousness. Then along came the civil rights uprising of a generation. Initially set to air the day after one of the memorial services for George Floyd, the Black man killed by Minneapolis police, sparking worldwide protests, organizers postponed the All In WA concert by two weeks out of respect and deference to the ensuing conversations about race, Jason says. The Amazon- and Microsoft-backed special will now air at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, on KING 5 and KONG in Western Washington, KREM and KSKN in Eastern Washington, and stream online through Amazon Music’s Twitch account and allinwa.org.

Viewers can donate through the website, as well as by phone, text and snail mail. A rebroadcast will be available on Amazon Prime immediately after it airs. The all-local lineup features a roster of Seattle music heavyweights and celebs including Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Ciara and Russell Wilson, Allen Stone and Dave Matthews, alongside up-and-comers like The Black Tones.
