Nice "Moon Is Up" as well.. great choices.
Thanks very much. Yeah, "She Was Hot" was the first Stones song I ever taught myself. I didn't realize until much later that they play it using barre chords and it probably wasn't ever meant to be played any other way. So, I kind of made it more difficult than it should have been. That's all right, it worked out in the end and I have a blast playing it.
And you're definitely right in that some songs (for me at least) just don't seem to work without a band. I've tried to do a few like "Out Of Control", "Mean Disposition", "Fingerprint File" and others, and no matter how I approach them can't seem to work up satisfying solo acoustic versions.
But again, that's still okay. I definitely enjoy the songs that I am able to play. Sometimes a skeletal acoustic version done right can really put the spotlight on the songwriting and let us appreciate an song in a slightly different way.
