Yes, nice! The final rehearsal before my first ever Stones USA show.
I flew to LA early July with a ticket for the first Giants Stadium
show (Aug. 12). 4 weeks of travel coast to coast in between.
I ended up buying opening night tickets via a scalper in RS magazine
with a --> phone call! All other tickets RFK 2, Indy, Giants 2 I
bought at a box office. What a great tour that was!

The picture below of me
licked by the tongue was taken outside RFK on Aug. 1, 1994!

I taped this, watched it on VH1. It was rather exciting at the time. Now it's just... whatever, ha ha.

YGMR is funny, they don't stop for Mick being late. Kind of weird now but they seemed a bit unsure, eh? A bit touchy with the attack, seems like Mick didn't know all the words.

Akroyd was dancing with a lawn mower on the field at some point, can't recall when that was but damn was he horrible.

Yep RFK Stadium - ($ maqty be the best tour ever- for the follwing reasons:

Song Selection
Proper stage configruration
Over 20 songs played - (most venues)
Great Cable tv Coverage VH1
Great outfits-
Voo Doo Lounge

Raleigh was not probably their most enthusiastic show due to the death of N.H. same circa

But that Miami and New Orleans( broadcast live on Radio) was spectacular!

Aykroyd is a genuine eccentric.

I sure do love that '57 LP Junior, my favourite year of production of those beauties... Pity it got converted to become the CYHMK-guitar.

"Rocks Off" sounds terrific -- other than Mick who I'm guessing is half assing it to save his voice. Doesn't strike me as one they can't pull off live otherwise.

I saw the New Orleans show... hilarious, Mick not knowing what album Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo was from. Found a bootleg a few years later, it's very rumbly. The stadium had 25,000 or so people - it was almost empty.

What I noticed on 'Rocks off' is that Ronnie was turned up high; the way he should have been. He was adding all the color. But during live sets they had started turning him way low.

I do remember that I thought in '94 was the best they ever did RO live. It's one of their best songs, but the lead vocal is a bitch on stage. They could have moved the key up a bit, to make it easier for Jagger to project.
It is really the exhibition feature, that let us hear the vocals isolated, that brought it home to me. Jagger does the high and low on studio version, and I always believed the reason it wasn't happening live, was because Jagger was not able to do both vocals at once. But it is really Keith's lead harmony that makes all the difference. All the great melodic passages, and country feel f the verses is from his vocals. And those they have never bothered trying to re-create.

I was thrilled when this happened on VH1. A few years later, when BRIDGES TO BABYLON happened, I watched this (on VHS) and, having seen 2 VOODOO shows, found it extremely underwhelming in that retrospect after recording (audio and video) ST LOUIS.

Sure, in 1994 they were "starting over" without Wyman but the songs just seemed, now, anyway, rather Stones-by-numbers new. That aside, some of the songs they did in 1994/95 they did much better later, on the BRIDGES/NO SECURITY tours and especially LICKS.

VOODOO was a start over, the second in the Ronnie Wood era.

And Rocks Off has always been horrible live! But as good as they did Monkey Man on the VOODOO tour they did it a gazillion times better on the LICKS tour. You Got Me Rocking was much better in 1997-98 than 1994-95. And on and on.

Thanks for posting these videos, I have never seen them before. Besides being one of my favorite albums, Voodoo Lounge was a great tour for me. Nice memories...
