Let me be the first to ask...Why!?

I like that the ones from VL are finally available as normal priced vinyl. I just got m ABB half speed remaster (from the box set). It didn’t become magically a great album but is definitely more listenable than the brickwalled cd. I suppose it’ll be the same thing with VL and B2B. So, bring it on.

Let me be the first to ask...Why!?

To re-introduce it to a potential new audiece?
To keep the records in print?
To earn it a little extra money?

There are several of these I would like to get and did not want to buy the box set. I already have a really good pressings of it’s only rock ‘n’ roll from Japan, Sticky Fingers from Japan, go Ted soup from Japan, and exile on main street both the release half speed master and Japanese import. But I would really like to get bridges to Babylon, tattoo you, emotional rescue, and some girls. No desire for the plastic week sounding steel wheels, bigger bang, and voodoo lounge.

I've got all the albums up to Dirty Work on vinyl. Couldn't find anything after that on vinyl for less than a 100 bucks. Finally!

When do they go on sale?

I'm pretty sure the question meant why would any fan here be interested ... Answer: they wouldn't (unless they just have nothing else to spend money on).

Just google and you'll get the answer.
I like this one the best winking smiley

"A lot of the Mobile Fidelity "Original Master Recordings (OMR)" LP's, use to come with sheets that described the process in great depth and detail.

There are still many professionals who will still argue that "Half Speed Mastering", was/is nothing more than a marketing gimmick, much like the Gold as opposed to Aluminum CD theory. It still comes down to the mastering. A poorly mastered album is still going to sound bad, Half Speed, or no Half Speed."

very complicated for me.
The simplest (and partially wrong, as all simple thing are) explanation:
For a response of 20-20000 Hz, the cutter head only has to go up to 10000 Hz, so if there are any nonlinearities in the upper range, they will be greatly reduced. Plus, if you were going to, say, 30000 Hz (and you can, with both analog masters and vinyl) you'll have that much more "breathing room" up there.

The downsides regarding EQ curves modifications are left aside.

GHS (Super-) Deluxe 2020, EOMS+Bonus on Vinyl, SF-Deluxe reissue, SG+Bonus on Vinyl ....

Hello,

Exile on Main Street has already been released with a Abbey Road Half-Speed Remastered edition.

I own it since 2017. It used to be available at the Abbey Road e-Store (now it os sold out), but it is available in Amazon UK

EOMS - Half Speed

Exile on Main Street has already been released with a Abbey Road Half-Speed Remastered edition.

But it's a different Master - the 2018 Edition was remastered again:

Abbey-Road-Engineer Miles Showell: "You are correct, for the first half speed cut I did for “Exile On Main Street” I was tied to the most recent remastered audio. This was a decision taken by the band’s management as it was the officially approved audio at that time. In an Ideal world I would have preferred to have had access to a flat transfer from the masters, but that was not available at that time." -- [iorr.org] .

I got Sticky Fingers years ago and remembered it came with a sticker saying something to the effect that raw sound is a trademark of the band and any distortion was part of the master tapes not a problem with MFSLs technique.
