I used to see him on "That Metal Show" - but several years ago.

Schenker is one of the BEST all time. He motivated me greatly.

I always thought back in the 80s that it would be cool if the Michael Schenker Group were to record a live album from Madison Square, call it MSG at MSG.
Never seen him live, I remember he played Vancouver in 80 or 81 at the SUB ballroom on the campus of UBC.

I have a VHS somewhere, Guitar School by Richard Thompson, starring Michael Schenker and Ronnie WOod among the others.

M. Schenker is - unlike his brother - a great guitarist.
However, I never liked any of the Scorpions stuff. Overrated like many others, e.g. Kiss, who are the worst of all.

Michael is, of course, a brilliant lead player, but Rudolf is a great rhythm guitarist and showman. They have totally different styles.

still great live. He does have a few digs at his brother, but I took it as tongue in cheek.Expect a long set covering all bases.

I don't read anything tongue in cheek in the above interviews I posted. There's some serious bitterness and anger in Michael's words.

I saw him live in Seattle a couple of years ago. He was very good. Had Graham Bonnet(Rainbow) singing with him among others. While I know he had some down years his tone and playing are great at this point.
