I haven't had a hair cut of what is left in over a month. Hair growing on back of neck - I call the barber shop and no one answers. the most transmittable point of contact is is Self Service Gas Pump handles - not Barber Shops or retail stores.

The leader of the most prominent group in the US peddling potentially lethal industrial bleach as a “miracle cure” for coronavirus wrote to Donald Trump at the White House this week.
In his letter, Mark Grenon told Trump that chlorine dioxide – a powerful bleach used in industrial processes such as textile manufacturing that can have fatal side-effects when drunk – is “a wonderful detox that can kill 99% of the pathogens in the body”. He added that it “can rid the body of Covid-19”.

So Texas and Vermont will partially reopen Monday. I forsee a large jump in cases, perhaps not so much in Vermont since it has a small population. Large cities like Houston and Dallas might turn into New Orleans with the number infected.
I take screen shots on my cell phone from the Fox News website which shows current world and US cases. On Friday morning the US had 672246 cases and 33288 deaths. Today, it stood at 755533 cases and 41379 deaths. 8091 reported deaths in 2 days. At this rate, they'll hit 60000 by next weekend if they don't flatten the curve. Who knows where it'll be the weekend after that.
Just to update my numbers from Sunday afternoon, things seemed to have slowed a bit down in the US. Current US figures are 852703 cases and 47750 deaths so 97152 new cases and 6371 deaths or a little over 2000 per day. At this rate, they'll hit mid 50's by Saturday.

A couple weeks from now we'll see if there's a spike due to certain states partially reopening.

Good observation Captain Corella! One question to everyone, in Canada, there have been a lot of cases and deaths in long term care homes, so elderly with compromised health. Is this similar to other countries?

It's interesting to look at the JHU site [www.arcgis.com] and then on the left in the list of Nations to select Sweden and then look at the bottom right hand corner and select daily cases.
The peaks and troughs are all about 7 days apart, which makes me wonder if they are as a result of the looser social distancing rules wreaking their havoc after weekends socialising?

That said, I won't be getting it trimmed anytime soon.
A cut in a barber shop is something that would make my personal high risk list, above retail shopping, which I also rank high.
I've always considered my barber as a friend. One aspect of getting your hair cut at the shop is the interaction with other patrons at the shop- Now they charge
$ 14 however I just hand a 20 - now how my barber reports earnings is his decision.
Unfortunately , here in Martin County nothing is open -too close to Miami West Palm hot spots

and if 50,000 people can descend on SoCal Beaches, in one day....then why can't people can go to the barber one at a time w/ a mask on?

A 100-year-old WWII veteran dies of the coronavirus a century after the flu pandemic killed his twin
"Before Philip Kahn died of coronavirus on April 17 at 100 years old, he kept thinking about his twin brother, Samuel.
When he told his life story to his grandchildren, friends and neighbors, it always began with Samuel, and now it seemed to be ending that way, too.
The twins were born into a world still torn by the flu pandemic in December 1919, in New York. Samuel died of influenza just weeks later. Philip survived."

Congrats to the Prime Minister!
Wasn't looking too good there for a bit.
Glad to see he's recovered.
