It's not just some of the posts here claiming "this is the home of the free and the brave" - it seems to be over half the nation saying that, and those are the ones who will more than likely reelect Trump.

I just read the white house task force will begin to disband around the 25th of
this month. If true it’s just in time for the June 1st. predicted 3,000 US deaths per day forecast. The incompetence, coverup and lack of empathy is beyond belief.
It’s all about getting someone re-elected at ANY expense.
Yes you are correct. It has nothing to do with people wanting to get back to work and provide for their families etc. It has nothing to do with people fed up with the lock down. It has nothing to do with starting the process to get life back to normal. It has nothing to do with millions and millions and millions and millions of people saying OPEN UP.

As I said before, my opinion is exactly the opposite of yours when
it comes to our current US politics and this global crisis. Without going into detail, I do find flaws with your statement above. That being said, I sincerely hope you and your family will be safe as well.

Not sure if I'm reading your post correctly, (and I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong ) but nowhere near half the country is wanting it to "open up".
Americans widely oppose reopening most businesses, despite easing of restrictions in some states, Post-U. Md. poll finds
"Americans clearly oppose the reopening of restaurants, retail stores and other businesses, even as governors begin to lift restrictions that have kept the economy locked down in an effort to combat the coronavirus pandemic, according to a Washington Post-University of Maryland poll.
The opposition expressed by sizable majorities of Americans reflects other cautions and concerns revealed in the survey, including continuing fears among most people that they could become infected by the coronavirus, as well as a belief that the worst of the medical crisis is not yet over."

Poll: Most Americans Oppose Reopening Businesses
A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS oppose the reopening of a variety of businesses amid the coronavirus pandemic and nearly 4 in 10 believe that the worst of the pandemic is yet to come, a new poll released Tuesday found.
The results come as states across the country loosen shelter-in-place restrictions and allow restaurants, retail stores and other businesses to reopen, in some cases against the advice of public health experts.
Two-thirds of Americans believe that retail shops should remain closed in their state, and 74% say restaurants should remain shuttered to dine-in customers as well, according to a Washington Post-University of Maryland poll that asked respondents about the reopening of eight different types of businesses."

A Pretty Significant Majority of Americans Oppose Reopening Businesses, Poll Finds
According to the findings released Tuesday, 67% of Americans said they would be uncomfortable shopping at a retail clothing store and 78% said they would be uncomfortable eating at a sit-down restaurant.

I did say "it seems" that way, but maybe should have said sometimes it seems considering all the press these particular protest stories are getting.
Whatever the case, many people want to reopen, and it seems a majority of them are Trump supporters, though no doubt quite a few Dems (and others) also seems eager to open up.

But THIS is the problem with the non-mandatory lockdown. Doing what you FEEL is best for you can and DOES effect OTHERS. Say you WANT to go out...
370 employees just going out...none feeling ill. Mingling with others who just want to go out because they are fed up being in lockdown. ALL are ILL and now they're spreading it....
It really is NOT that simple...

My simplistic take is that someone else's right to go out ends where the possibility of infecting someone else begins.
