Just saw the news Dave Roback has passed away. Only 61.

Mazzy Star were a big part of the 90s for me. They reformed in recent years and I was glad to catch them again.

Awful news. Mazzy Star has been a huge part of my life. Psychedelic trip-out music at it's finest. Here's one beautiful example of their brilliance.

RIP, David.

Also loved his previous band, Opal, with Kendra Smith. This is sad news, indeed.

RIP

Love(d) this group. What they used to call "shoe gaze" music. Their "So Tonight That I might See" album is still a great listen. It, played back to back with Lindsey Buckingham's "Out Of The Cradle" album, is a smooth ride into dreamland with a touch of homegrown to ease the way. RIP, sir.
