I just play in Standard capo at 5TH fret for ease .

Occam’s Razor would say that it’s open-E, because Beggars and LIB are wall-to-wall with D and E tunings. What are the odds that Keith’s first use of open G was not HTW, but, rather, this weird, heretofore undiscovered hybrid that he would never use again?!

Meh, it's just open E with capo at 8th fret. Simple.

It is actually in Nashville Tuning (as was Wild Horses) - which is just replacing the standard E A D G strings with those an octave higher (so - yes, like a 12 string without the low EADG strings).

The irony is that after all that effort and jabbering on the guy still doesn't play it quite right!

Keith never played it like that again anyway - so....

It's not Nashville tuning on YCAGWYW. The licks on the A, D and G-strings are not an octave higher. It's open E with a capo on the 8th fret.

Yes and what helps tell us is that the 1st and 2nd strings and the respective C and G notes ring out through out the main part.

Yes James, is one of the best Stones interpreter on the Tube; also Who, Zep etc. He doesn't show it much but he can solo his ass off too.
Like MelBellis says - Occam's Razor. And one thing that one learns when delving into Keith's catalog: he always took the easy route haha..
The descending type fills Keith plays clearly demonstrate that this is not any Nashville strung guitar.

It's not that easy to remember the exact name of some of those hybrid minor chords. I'm pretty sure Keith knew those were Am and Bm, but Jim probably wondered because of the open ringing G-string(s)

I just watched as much of this video I could stomach and this guy is a doofis . The mystery of Keith's magical work on the fretboard besides his use of open tunings is his phrasing and sound and tone etc. Keith is a master as he has perfected a technique that yes can be copied note for note ,but it will never sound the same . That in a nutshell is pure genius ! Note for note recreation YES , just try to make it sound EXACTLY like Keith ? It wont because Keith makes it sing swing and everything else !
