I know this has been covered before, somewhere, but I get people at work who have never seen the Stones and they ask why I like the Stones & why I continue to travel to multiple shows. How do iorr.org fans answer this question? You still hear the same from people,i.e.,"Wow, they are so old". Then you hear the old stale jokes....
I actually had someone ask 'Who?' I just walked away. Yeah, usually it's the same old 'They're so ooooold.' Then I look at the middle-aged lard butt standing in front of me who can barely get off the sofa and say something snarky.
I always tell them it's a cheap thrill – since I alway buy LD ticket. Their usual answer is 'wow, the Stones for 30 GBP (or 69 Euro) for pit, I wish I'd done that, too'
Because I enjoy the Rolling Stones, the show the music, Mick Keith, Charlie, Ron. They make me feel good. I love that band!
I like to see how different each show can be even when they're basically the same songs, I enjoy seeing how the the song progress/change/mature from one show to the next. You never know which show is going to be extra hot!
I'm glad I got in to the Rolling Stones when I was young because I've had a lifetime of enjoyment.
Greatest band of all time making millions of people happy over 50+ years. If they could go on forever the demand would be the same 100 years from now, they are totally timeless.
The first time I saw them live was 6 years ago, I was 17. I wanted to go because I like their music and I really thought they were a reat live band based on what I had seen and listened so I had to witness it with my own eyes and ears, it felt like I shouldn't miss the chance to attend a gig once they came.
Also I thought "Maybe it could be their last show in my town, or even their last tour ever. Yes, they're old, but it's still the Rolling Stones"
They are an indispensable part of my life now for 56 years and when I share time with them during concerts it makes me very, very, very happy! They are simply so bl**dy great! Try for yourself and you won't forget it ever.
