I wish they’d come to NYC, it isn’t far from Pittsburgh

Was briefly rumored a while back they may end this at MSG.
A couple shows there to round out this tour would be fantastic!
Count me in for a show at The Garden smileys with beer

Why would they? The Pittsburgh crowd is always better then the NYC crowd. Night and day

Don't get cray now.

I’ve been to each city three times for shows. I don’t live in Pittsburgh I’m from western NYS and there is no comparison Pittsburgh wins by a mile. People from NYC talk about how great they are for an audience Well they never went to Philly Pittsburgh Buffalo to see what a great concert crowd is like

I don't think it's fair to judge an entire audience based on the small handful of people immediately neighboring your seats.

You will find some great hardcore fans in every crowd in every city.

Concurrently, you will find some selfish douchebags in every crowd in every city.

You've just had bad luck of the draw in NYC and are making unfair generalizations based on a few shows.

Can't believe it's almost here. The next 36 hours are going to be fret with anticipation! Hope to bump into some of you tomorrow! I'm planning to take the T early afternoon from the South Hills & just soak it all in on the North Shore.

I went to see Pirates last night.
They won.
They even played SMU several times at inning intervals.
It was fun.
Tomorrow's one will be a great concert.

I arrived into Pittsburgh from Charlotte around 5pm yesterday. The plan was to take a taxi, as the bus from the airport into town takes forever. However, there were just two taxi drivers waiting at the airport queue, none of them had masks, so I made a "no mask" signal to them, moved over to the UBER pickup area, and had my UBER driver, with a mask, in 5 minutes.

There was a major traffic jam into the city. As we got closer to my hotel, near Heinz Field, I realized there was a game at the "next door" PNC Park. After 20 minutes stuck over the bridge, I left the car, and walked the last few blocks.

Got my hotel room, and hungry like the wolf, after a six hours travel, I needed some place to eat. I asked the lady at the check-in of the hotel when the game started. She said 6:30pm, i.e. it was already started. Still, so many people were outside the stadium. She said that was normal. I walked across the bridge and into the city, walked around for an hour, no place at my taste, and ended up back over the bridge to my side, with the excellent place next door where I live. By then the stadium had filled up with all those who were around outside.

Is this a thing about baseball? Isn't it important to be there at game start? In soccer (European football) and ice hockey, a lot may happen during the first ten minutes. May be not so in baseball?

Anyway, thinking back to the stadium crowds for the Stones in St Louis and Charlotte. People were outside dining late. There were many empty seats during the first songs, and I noticed later on in the show, the seats were taken. Does the "being late for baseball game start" also apply to Stones shows?

Mostly a baseball thing. And it’s also important to note that the Pirates have long been eliminated from the playoffs, so the game has no importance. The fans are just having a fun outing. Game itself is not the priority.

Boston, St.Louis and Charlotte had mask mandates in hotels and on public transportation. Quite a few were having masks when walking in busy sidewalks. Here in Pittsburgh very few have masks. When checking in at my hotel yesterday, I asked, and she said they had just lifted the mask recommendation (ort mandate) in the city. Some guests, baseball fans on travel to/from the games here, do have masks in the elevator and in the breakfast area, but mostly the masks are gone all over the city, as it seems.

As well in Japan.
Yesterday, playball was 6:30pm, I entered stadium at 7:30pm, top of 4th.

Game itself was totally entertaining.
Pirates Japanese right fielder didn't hit but I enjoyed american baseball atmosphere.
Only $10 ticket.

Hard to get weekends across the board with the nfl season going on

As far as baseball… fashionably late is a thing. It’s a long game. Shoot the breeze with friend, grab a bite and a beer, head on in when you like. Plus Pitt is awful. If the game meaned something that all changes and people are in for the 1st pitch

Bring the rain gear, kids... Mother Nature lookin' to join in on the fun at Heinz Field tomorrow night, unless Keith works his magic with the rain stick and we get a rainbow encore, a la 2015!

Safe travels to all and lookin' forward to another great show!

The weather forecast says rain all day but stopping around 6pm, less rain after that. I will bring one of my three ponchos I have on tour, just in case.

Looks like another rain soaked show in Pittsburgh. It's bad enough watching a football game in the rain, but a concert is a disaster, not to mention dangerous for the band and crew.
