Does anybody have any pics of the billboard in Detroit? And, where is it exactly?
Thanks

One was reportedly at the heavily trafficked interchange of I-75 and I-696 and said "Miss You" with the Rolling Stones logo.

Hi, I live in Lansing. Go to Hotels.Com & enter Ford Field, Detroit in the search box. It brings up a number of hotels within walking distance. I just checked & there are a couple with decent prices.

The Hotel St Regis on West Grand is a ten minute ride on the local commuter transport. Walk half a block to Woodward ave and jump on. Usually free. The hotel was where GM put up their guests from the 50s through the 70s. It’s still very nice and doesn’t participate with the Travelocity’s of the world.

Sorry my post was an error last time I saw them I was Comerica Park. However it’s right next to Ford Field. I stayed at the MGM grand and got a really good deal on the room. Not a great hotel but great for a central party area and it was about a 20 minute walk to the show. There are often some very good deals there.

I also stayed at the MGM Grand in 2015. About a 20 minute walk. Chuck Leavell was hanging out at the bar there after the show.

Going to this show with a concert friend rather than Austin. We go to a lot of shows at the Austin360 Amphitheatre...medium sized concert shed on the grounds of the Pro Circuit of the America’s racetrack...the building the stage and festival show doesn’t appeal to me. So Detroit Rock City it is!

Detroit convert for me too. Never been there before, but I'm sure it's going to be a blast.

Was able to score a couple Lucky Dips for this and reserved a Airbnb. The location is near intersection of Cass Ave. and Canfield Street. Is this a safe area?

Yes, it's a block west of Woodward in Midtown. Lots of Wayne State students in the area. I wouldn't head too far west on Canfield though. smiling smiley Anything in that area down to the Detroit River (RenCen) within a few blocks of Woodward - either side is safe. Detroit is as safe as any other city in the areas you will be in.

As a local I would say it depends on what you are into doing. For bars and restaurants I would stay downtown. If you enjoy museums I would say midtown. I would personally stay downtown. You can go check out other stuff during the day and then be close to nightlife in the evening. If you’re here for a week there are definitely some attractions outside of city limits you may want to check out. As much as people like to tout Detroit’s comeback I don’t think there are enough things in the city to keep a traveler occupied for a whole week.

I think the Airbnb is about 2 blocks west of there. Would taking that nearby rail be a good way to get to the stadium?

Gonna be picking adding this show since Buffalo and Cleveland got canceled. Detroit 2015 was one of my favorites I've seen, hoping for another top notch gig in Detroit this time!

I’ve seen the stones many times and that 2015 Detroit show was amongst the best. They were on fire! And you finally got to see Mick and Keith harmonize during just my imagination! Classic. And the sound was fantastic. Matt Lee do you remember that show my friend!? We sat right across the aisle from each other. You had your wild pattern shirt on!
