Well, you know, backdoor or not, it's the same exact Ticketmaster link anyway. All it does is it saves you a couple of clicks as you don't have to go thru RS.com at all.

As I said... just never have used it.

Could be, depending on when the link goes live.

It did help me with San Diego LDs, (not that it matters much now).

I was in the waiting room way before RS.com even posted the "Lucky Dip" button for San Diego.

That was my recollection.. waiting room seems to be rather random I think.
I've gotten in super quick and been like number 2000.. should be first in first out, but don't believe they work it that way.

Cannot hurt to try on two different devices with different IP addresses, if possible - say you have a laptop with a wi-fi connection and a smartphone with mobile data. One of the devices may get through the waiting room quicker.

LDs for Austin were up 1 hour ago - I managed to get a pair! But checked on another device 2 mins after and it was back to sold out.

Thanks TOPI and others for your work on gathering the links and ideas - I have been checking every day and finally it has paid off!!!

So here's something worth considering when buying the LA Oct 14 LDs:

Note that the waiting room may already open before 10 AM so you might want to try hitting the link a few minutes earlier. TM will probably send you a text/email to confirm it's really you logging in.

Only log in from one device/IP address per account, otherwise TM might think you're a bot and shut you out/give the "unable to process request on this device" error even if you get through to buy.

If you have multiple TM accounts(under different e-mail addresses) you can try logging in from them at the same time, but make sure it's from different IP addresses. For example: account #1 on a laptop with a wi-fi connection and account.#2 on your smartphone with mobile data.

Pittsburgh will be my 14th Stones show but first Lucky Dip, and given the sad loss of Charlie, Ronnie's battles with cancer and simply the challenges of the boys being close to 80, for the first time ever, I truly feel it may be my last show.

Any strategy to get better seats when picking them up, or are seats just in random envelopes with your name on them, and what you receive is what you get, totally random?

Should I get there as early as the box office opens? Beg and plead? lol. Any suggestions?

Always pretty random.

Sometimes, as the tour goes on, there gets to be a bit of a pattern.. at least I thought so last leg.
The Pit tix seem to come in bunches.. I got in line last leg about 20 minutes after they opened up. I got Pit for six out of eight sets I had for the tour.

Likely was still random, but I wasn't about to break the streak after a couple

Schmoozing the ticket person.. sometimes helps (again could be random) but when I'm able to quickly "connect" with them, and give them a chuckle, it's worked.
In Manchester for eg.. I led with "first time seeing them in the UK.. flew in from Seattle for this" etc- and boom- Pit, Keith's side

Friendly reminder for those about to try for the LD's.

Has happened to me and invariably posters here nearly every time..
Make sure to have your TM payment info up to date.. right card, exp date, etc. etc.

Sometimes if the checkout process takes too long.. the tix are no longer available in your cart.

Easy Breezy. 7th show on this tour with LD..

I got 2 LD's for the Thursdy 14th show, only waited 4 minutes.

Thought I struck out today after trying for an hour and a half.

Turns out the reason that I kept getting the error message "quantity exceeded allotment" etc, after going through ALL the steps, was that one of the transactions had gone through without me being aware of it.
Next time maybe one device.. lol

Silly question, my 3 friends (including me) have 2 pairs of LDs (so 4 tickets) leaving one extra ticket. Do we really have to use the 4th ticket?

I mean I don’t want to sound wasteful but can they just throw the extra ticket back in the pile?

Always a lot of fans (and scalpers) hanging around the Lucky Dip windows looking to get in on it.
Only takes a few minutes usually to identify a real fan looking for a deal. Find one who's looking to buy a single and lay it on 'em, is what I've done and had done on occasion. Paying it forward so to speak. They can't/aren't going to re-sell it and it would just go to waste otherwise..

Nah.. I meant pick someone out before hand, but worded it poorly.

Other easy option is hooking up with someone on the threads here, plenty typically looking for an extra at the various venues.

Usually the Lucky Dip wristbands are meaningless. They won't always even give you one, and if they do, nobody cares to check it - it's the ticket that matters, after all.

The Lucky Dip wristband got people into the pir at the Seattle show in 2019. Either the stadium ushers were untrained to know the difference between an LD and a Pit bracelet, didn’t care, or were told to allow the LD’s access as the Pits weren’t full, but I recall reading of several here who got into the pits with them. I was happy with my LD seats at stage left in the lower bowl, so I didn’t try to move down at that show, but I would have if I’d known how easy it was.

I’m going Lucky Dipping again on October 14th at Sofi in L.A. It will be my fourth time going in with LDs (the others were Stockholm 2014, Pittsburgh 2016 and Seattle 2019). They’ve always given me good seats, down low, but never in the Pit. I would love to finally get down there at L.A. This will be my sixth Rolling Stones show. The other two were 2016 at the Marcus Amphitheatre in Milwaukee, where I paid for a good pavilion seat, and way back on December 7, 1981 at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland on the Tattoo You Tour, when I was 16 and my dad scored me and three of my friends back stage passes and front row seats. It would bring things full circle to be up close again 40 years later as they’re celebrating the 40 year anniversary of Tattoo You, I’m celebrating the 40th anniversary of my first show, we’re all remembering and honoring Charlie, and I am personally giving tribute to my father, who passéd on into eternity at age 93 this past December 27th.
