There are Brussels boots with the entire first show.

Yes, I have this boot. It is better than the official release in my opinion. The version of Tumbling Dice on that boot is incredible (check out Mick T's solo)

Which boot is that? The entire show, nothing from London?

Brussels Affair - Definitive Edition and The Lost Brussels all have the nearly complete 1st Show. @#$%& always audience.

And Heartbreaker?

Was not played...nobody knew it was played at the second show until the official release

From Keith's opening Berry-esque riff to Mick's vocals matching the raunchiness and the melodies of the lyrics, this song has everything. Love it.

It seems to be the double vinyl, it will cost more to find it, apart from the vinyl box, the Transparent and obviously the red.

GHS 2020 2LP - Clear-Vinyl (Alternate Cover): [Platenzaak.nl] , [www.Merchbar.com] . The GHS 2020 1LP Red-Vinyl can be found on eBay.

So finally got my GHS Deluxe and I gotta agree it's their best deluxe/outtakes project so far.

Making a remix was a great idea, especially in place of a re-release of the original album. I always thought it was annoying that we had to buy Exile, SG and Sticky once more just to get the outtakes, and I've always thought they should do it like Dylan (and many others) and make a proper historically correct "bootleg series". And while I think remixing Exile would have been close to blasphemy (and who would cope with doing that), with GHS it feels more warranted even though I've always loved the original mix. Actually, I expected the new mix to be more different, but it's very balanced and well made in my opinion.

Overall it feels kinda weird to see GHS getting all this attention and promotion, because to me it's always been an underdog album, in the shadows of Exile.

The three "new" tracks are all really good and I think Mick did a pretty good job with them. The acoustic guitar on Scarlet was unnecessary but otherwise I can't really think of anything that should have been different.

The jams of Mr D, Heartbreaker and Hide Your Love aren't complete songs, but it's great hearing the Stones of '72 jamming in the studio, letting Taylor loose with the solo on Hide Your Love. Perhaps Keith was more involved in it than we previously thought, and they decided to just skip his guitar in the final mix?

Anyway ... first listen and it's a great little re-treatment of GHS.

To me probaly the best of the rerelease of Goats Head Soup is version of 100 Years Ago on the second disc. It’s the Higlight in it! But do like the others of course.

Yeah, Definitive Edition. Great double disk with London stuff and rarities on the second disk. Somebody stole it at a party unfortunately. Good thing I ripped it to my computer.

Definitely. And that's one of the reasons why I don't join the praising choir for the official "Brussels Affair".

I've said it before and say it again: "Brussels" is a myth just like the myth that "Exile" was done at Nellcote when actually only a handful of tracks derived from there. For an official physical release as part of the GHS box I would have wished for a "Europe 1973" compilation with the best performances only.

absolutely agree with you
for such a big-bucks-box they should have treated the buyers with something really special, such as a "Best Of Europe" , instead of this Brussels Mix and even using the title of a bootleg

The flute is hilarious! Good decision to cut the "solo" from the original release.

By the way, wasn't Fast Talking from the GHS sessions? Shouldn't it have been included here?

Actually, that flute adds a kind of Van Morrison feel to the song. Not bad, just rather unusual.

Really? Haha, I actually like it a lot.

There is some speculation that Fast Talking is from IORR sessions.

Rolling Stones dot com tells me today my two LP clear vinyl set is on its way...late but earlier than they predicted, so I am good with that.
