The CDs, Stereo-BluRay & Digital Download of GHS 2020 have unfortunately a Dynamic-Range of only DR6 - [iorr.org] .

But the BluRay in 7.1 Multichannel Dolby Atmos has DR12:

I don’t think Hopkins is on 100 Years Ago. Sounds like all Billy Preston to me.

Here're some Credits for CD1 of GHS 2020 from [www.HighResAudio.com] :

Mick Jagger, lead vocals (all but 3), backing vocals (1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10), electric guitar (6, 8), harmonica (6), piano (7)
Keith Richards, electric guitar & backing vocals (1, 3, 4, 6, 9, 10), bass guitar (2, 4, 6, 7), acoustic guitar (5), lead vocals (3)
Mick Taylor, electric guitar (1, 2, 4, 6–10), backing vocals (1, 4, 6), bass guitar (1, 3, 9), acoustic guitar (5)
Bill Wyman, bass (5, 8, 10)
Charlie Watts, drums (all tracks)

Additional musicians:

Nicky Hopkins, piano (1, 3, 5, 8, 9)
Billy Preston, clavinet (2, 4), piano (4)
Ian Stewart, piano (6, 10)
Bobby Keys, tenor saxophone (4), baritone saxophone (3, 7, 10)
Jim Horn, alto saxophone (3, 4), flute (9)
Chuck Findley, trumpet (4)
Jim Price, horn arrangement (4)
Nicky Harrison, string arrangement (5, 8)
Anthony "Rebop" Kwaku Baah, percussion (1, 9)
Pascal (Nicholas Pascal Raicevic), percussion (1, 9)
Jimmy Miller, percussion (9)

Numbers in Brackets vs. Tracklist:

1 Dancing With Mr. D
2 100 Years Ago
3 Coming Down Again
4 Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)
5 Angie
6 Silver Train
7 Hide Your Love
8 Winter
9 Can You Hear The Music
10 Star Star

Dunno if these Credits are any better than the ones from Universal Music (Box-set, YouTube, Qobuz) which should always be taken with a grain of salt.

They are much better, but there is a third, Keith-sounding guitar on Silver Train (the one that's center/right). And Preston is on wah clavinet in the right channel on Can You Hear The Music.

Is 8. Dancing With Mr D (Glyn Johns 1973 Mix) the one w/ more of Mick Taylor's Guitar?

Wyman only played bass on 3 songs on GHS and he had limited work on Exile due to him not being around when songs were done.Yes Mick Taylor and Keith are capable replacements.Taylor probably did his most work on GHS with the stones playing bass on 3 songs in addition to his guitar work.

Wow Irex thats a solid endorsement for the blu-ray then. What exactly is on the blu-ray, the original LP plus the new versions disk?

Re: the bass, I find those credits for bass especially to be pretty hard to believe. They have you believe there are three bass parts on some songs as they list three personnel on bass guitar. I don't think so. Looks like a cut and paste job to me.

I take liner notes and attributions, especially from the Rolling Stones, with a large grain of salt.

Seems like the zoom shot is very fuzzy to me. Like it were a screen grab off of youtube. Made to illustrate a point.

But I have never seen that label before. Is it from the new release somehow?

It's on their official youtube channel and they're using that label for several of the newly released GHS "2020" videos.
Watching Angie now in full screen mode on laptop, and the same credit - "M.Jagger & L.Richard"...Dancing with Mr. D, Hide Your Love, and Can You Hear the Music all say the same...
Strange...L.Richard...hmmm, that's a head scratcher...maybe it's the famous Ludwig van Richard best known for his 5th Symphony...

Does anyone have a physical release with liner notes?

I heard a snippet of the alternate Heartbreaker years ago from a high level collector. He had attributed it to the Jan/Feb Village Recorders session in L.A.

Any indication of this in the reissue credits?

Zoom in was just from another frame of the video ...

The dot over the M was a random speckle effect ... The After Effects animator apparently knew how to apply "film & grain filters" better than he spelled Mr. Richards' name.

Lots of happening in the Stones world right now, so much that no to time to write... But some quick remarks about the extra cuts.

"Heartbreaker" and "Mr. D": always thought that (a) they will never release instrumental version of songs, and that (b) it wouldn't be such a good idea personally, but it is always nice to be proven wrong. These two gives us a great perspective to the songs. So strong musicality at present, and makes one wonder did they did right decisions for the released versions. There is such an unique feel in that acoustic beginning of "Heartbreaker" and how the song delicately builds up that some of that potentiality is not fully actualized in the final version. Even some sort of "Gimme Shelter" sublimity there. "Mr. D" has funkier character here, and some of the 'oddness' and artificiality of the final version is yet missing. Wonderful guitars on both songs.

"100 Years Ago": oh what a beauty, a true gem! Interesting to hear how finished the demo version of the song is here, all the words, chords and musical phases are there. Wonderfully crafted song.

"Hide Your Love": great to hear a different take, but I need to say that I miss the driving piano part that I think is essential to the magic of the song. Same with Mick's vocals: the original version contains some of Mick's best blues phrasings ever, and here he is somehow more lame. Altogether, despite the great guitars, this sounds more traditional and ordinary blues track than the hypnotic and unique-sounding GHS one. But still great to listen!

The piano version is outstanding and length is correct. In other words, the more simplistic the more superior this song rings. May be the Gem of the collection.
