I want to hear if they've been able to improve the original lame mix for most of the songs. I remember first hearing it in 1973 and thinking something was wrong with the sound.

From that short bit of "Silver Train" it sounded improved, but of course we are just talking about youtube here, so who knows.

Thanks is there another way of getting hold of Brussels affair on dvd??

It doesn't exist.
What did Mick say in between one of the songs ? Maybe , that it is a Guitar Assault or Attack ? I love Brussels , I wish it was released , but I have also heard that it was not filmed ?
From this era do you think any completely filmed concert exists such as Houston 1972, Dallas1972,NeW York 1972or Essen 1973?

One of the Wembley shows must have been filmed in ist entirety by the BBC but nobody knows if it still exists.

There is a video of "Street Fighting man" from Frankfurt on Youtube but nobody knows whether it exists in pristine quality.

But it's a shame they release Brussels all over again when they have some more professionally recorded shows in the can (at least Newcastle where a few tracks have been broadcast in mono, Wembley and most probably the Essen shows).

The Angie clip with him sitting down is the best but I think unfortunately we will get the hat one. Him sitting down was released before on 1984’s Video Rewind.

I prefer the hat-version to the sitting version, Jagger's intepretation of the farewell-drama and the irony is much cooler in the hat version. Which was the second version.

Thank You:
We should not expect any major improvement regarding the original sound, I believe.

“...an all new stereo mix of the original album.”

It even says “new stereo mix” on the actual CD. Plus, they’re releasing a 5.1 mix.

Once again following the steps of that other, lesser known, English beat band whose bass player died in a car crash in 1966?

Ugh. I hate those Giles Fab's remixes. All bass and drum and guitars gone. Hopefully Keith won't let that happen here..

Looks like the rumor is true that Giles Martin did the new GHS-2020-Mix: [iorr.org] .

Giles Martin mentioned here too: [www.BookSpot.nl] , [www.CAManagement.co.uk] .

Thanks.
Seems we should be prepared for bass, drums and vocals centered and upfront with guitars buried in the mix.

Well personally I think Giles Martin has been doing a great job with the Beatles remasters. I like drum and bass with guitars and high tone jangly in the background, esp with the Beatles. I was just listening to Abbey Road last night and liked the mix and overall sound.

The Glyn Johns mixes still intrigue me because he was never credited on GHS

No, they're not. On the contrary, the new mix was surprisingly good, imo.

It will no doubt sound better than it ever has, and cool to see there's a bit of a Beatles connection now.
