Hello everyone. I have a different question. Is the reissue of Brussels affair included in the package only available on Blu-ray, or will it be available on dvd?

Only on cd and vinyl.

Never heard of a DVD - [dbboots.com] , [dbboots.com] . Was the 17-Oct-1973 even filmed?

Brussels Affair: the runtimes of the Tracks have now been published on [Music.Apple.com] and [www.Amazon.com] - apart from few seconds (fade in/out) there're no differences to the 2011/12 release - [www.Discogs.com] .

What did Mick say in between one of the songs ? Maybe , that it is a Guitar Assault or Attack ? I love Brussels , I wish it was released , but I have also heard that it was not filmed ?

From this era do you think any completely filmed concert exists such as Houston 1972, Dallas1972,NeW York 1972or Essen 1973?

Overall very few shows have been filmed prior to 1989.

Not sure of their reasoning behind releasing this again as this is the third video of the same track from their official youtube channel - must be some promo overdrive/overkill ahead of the official release.
Whatever the case, it's always nice to hear this true quality nugget of vintage Stonesiness, and can't wait to hear the vinyl on my stereo system cranked loud.thumbs up

Rolling Stone article from 1973 about the making of GHS (apologies if already posted)

The Rolling Stones Recording in Jamaica
The band’s ‘Exile’ follow-up set to drop early next spring

'Among the working titles are: “You Should Have Seen Her Ass,” “Star-@#$%&,” “Separately,” “Four and In,” “Give Us a Break,” “Comin’ Down, Again,” “Waiting for a Friend,” “Angie” and “First Thing.”

Promotion machine in full swing...along with another Criss Cross video posted above, this was posted a few hours ago on official Rolling Stones facebook page along with mention of above Rolling Stone article.

"Whilst recording Goats Head Soup in Jamaica Mick was interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine and shared working titles of several songs, among these were:
‘You Should Have Seen Her Ass’, ‘Star-f*cker’, ‘Separately’, ‘Four and In’, ‘Give Us a Break’, ‘Comin’ Down, Again’, ‘Waiting for a Friend’, ‘Angie’ and ‘First Thing’".

I suppose I never noticed before but there are definitely two guitars on Criss Cross.

I imagine there is/was full video footage of the four Texas concerts. If it’s still around is a whole different matter.

There were actually 2 Angie videos. One was sweet and sincere. One was “fey and mocking”. I wonder which will be on the release? One has Mick sitting with flowers dropping. The other is him wearing a hat standing.

One was the "promo" version, and one (hat) the official. Unless there's more?
Hope it's the promo cool smiley

Edit* It's the official hat version, as seen in this promo for the set.

Funny the bonus contains Glyn Johns remixes but he’s never been affiliated with this release.

That's all I want is the Blu Ray disc. I want to hear if they've been able to improve the original lame mix for most of the songs. I remember first hearing it in 1973 and thinking something was wrong with the sound.

What a relief that it is the "hat"-version. That video is my favourite promotion-video. It will be nice finally to have it in a cleaned up version on bluray.
