What to do with the old bootlegs titled "Criss Cross Man" and "Save Me"? On Vinyl (cracky and dusty) or that old mid eighties CD? No need to ever listen to those again. I can hear Mick say ... "bootlegs? They're from another world. We ... make the real ones, haha."
I like the freshness of Criss Cross ... and I'm still not over Living In A Ghost Town ... aagghh.

Have bootleg titled How Do you Hide Your Love, which contains 4 versions, nice to still have the variety.....seems like minimal sax on the new release

With no tour on site Universal aparently managed to convince them to polish it and create some income for the record company.

The GHS-reissue was already announced on 6-Feb-2020 in conjunction with the US-Tour - [iorr.org] .

I don't know about the song although it's a a exile out take I don't feel the real mood of exile but I understand why they skipped it to release it on the record back then......and for the video in black and white would have suite the song better (or the green color they used on the inner sleeve of exile)

Is the girl in the video one of The Stones' daughters or granddaughters? That video goes on forever. For as much time as someone put into that video I would have expected a little more.

Taylor on bass. Keith on both guitars. Don't think Bill is on it at all. And they forgot to credit the horns!

That was my impression as well.
Maybe those are the generic credits used for the whole album, rather than a particular song. Although, I'm still interested in the Taylor composer credit. The Metamorphosis credits could have been a jab by the old producer, whereas this is clearly done under the Stones supervision.

Shouldn't this be called Save Me?

I like it. But the video? Now, I’m a red blooded male. But that’s crass from a band pushing into their 80s. Do they really think in 2020, that’s appropriate?
I remember many of us squirmed with Keith’s “Bare your breasts And let me feel at home” line, at his age, from This Place is Empty in 2005. 15 years later we get this tawdry video...
After the refreshing Living in a ghost Town video, this one is dreadful.
But I like the song.
The Rolling Stones... pissing prudes off since 1962 (and counting )
Jeezus.. not like they even appear in it.
Love it.

No more than the opening song on Beggars Banquet should be called 'Pleased to meet you'....

All the promo stuff is boasting '3 unheard songs', and they call this 'unheard'...
But all of us have heard it for years (albeit not in this exact version)
I took this opportunity to listen again and Captain Acid did a great job. Track207"Criss Cross la" has almost official sound quality.Quote
