As a long time Stones collector, I always liked this particular tune from the first moment I heard it. It was one of my fav unreleased bootleg tracks. Even though the video to me is no great shakes, it is nice to have Criss Cross commercially released in great sound!

Thanks. Is the rap bit starting at 2:00 possibly new? A little forced there, but otherwise groovy...thumbs up

Generic logo cover for the single. What is with that?

I think that part has new vocals and also the outro, done very well.

It grooves and sounds very minimally messed with so it works for me on all levels.

I never really listened to the original bootleg so I have zero history with this tune. Not sure what new vocals Mick could have added--my guess is the outro and the falsetto parts. They are well done tho.

Looking forward to the full set.

I like it. But the video? Now, I’m a red blooded male. But that’s crass from a band pushing into their 80s. Do they really think in 2020, that’s appropriate?

I remember many of us squirmed with Keith’s “Bare your breasts And let me feel at home” line, at his age, from This Place is Empty in 2005. 15 years later we get this tawdry video...

After the refreshing Living in a ghost Town video, this one is dreadful.

But I like the song.

It wouldn't surprise if these credits are just as wrong as on many of the other anniversary albums smiling smiley

I hear only two open G-guitars on it. The guitar in the left channel that starts it off with the riff + the one in the right channel that comes in later.

I highly doubt the Rolling Stones are going to mis-credit Mick Taylor with a composer's credit.

Do you think it's Wyman on bass?

Haha, you got that right! grinning smiley

But I doubt the Stones had anything to do with writing this. After the Exile crediting I stopped trusting those.

Haven't really listened to the bass. Will do.

What to do with the old bootlegs titled "Criss Cross Man" and "Save Me"? On Vinyl (cracky and dusty) or that old mid eighties CD? No need to ever listen to those again. I can hear Mick say ... "bootlegs? They're from another world. We ... make the real ones, haha."
I like the freshness of Criss Cross ... and I'm still not over Living In A Ghost Town ... aagghh.

For me, it is not that I'm a prude, I just think that the video is pointless. Here you are the Rolling Stones who are showcasing (arguably) one of their better outtake/rarities for the world to hear for the first time, and you match it up with a T & A video coming from guys in their 70's...C'mon!

My wife thought I was watching porn while listening to the Stones!

Like bitus2012, the video made me at least mildly uncomfortable. Though of course the Stones are not going to feature an appropriate for me GILF in their video.

I do like the song! I haven’t listened to it in years having given up on low quality sound. Nice to have it back.
