2014: Hampton '81 and LA '75 were released two weeks apart.

2015: Tokyo '90 and Leeds '82 were released three weeks apart.

2016: Havana Moon and Blue & Lonesome were released three weeks apart.

So, does it surprise me that GHS and Atlantic City are being released one week apart ? No.

The DVD market is so low that Billboard downsized the DVD chart from Top 40 to Top 10 during the last 10 years.
A few weeks ago, the #1 DVD sold 859 copies and the #10 sold 332 copies.

I don't think that a DVD, which could sell 10-15k worldwide at best, could be a problem, a GHS release with bonus tracks would sell 20x more than any DVD.

It is possible (but not confirmed) that this is the show from February 24, 1990 that was issued in Japan only by WARD - The Vault Extra (2017). It has the same track list as the one you have (26 February) but everything is a bit different winking smiley In any case total time for this one is 136 min which is 48 seconds shorter than the one from 26 February.

If the release date for GHS-deluxe is correct, there might be a chance that the new album is released before christmas.

I know this is pointless, but I wish the Stones would release more albums on Blu Ray Audio. As far as I know there's only Exile, Let It Bleed, and Grrr. I haven't heard the other two, but Exile is really good. I don't know how good Blu Ray Audio would work on the ABKCO catalog, but I imagine something like Goats Head Soup would be a whole new experience.

as far as I am concerned the real news here is that there's no reliable information about it yet.

The info about the release date comes from a very reliable source. I'm yet to read any info that came from them which wasn't proved true in the end.

Thanks for clarification Cristiano, I do trust you. Sometimes on Iorr things get confusing for a common mortal like me trying to keep up with reliable sources.

Their next studio album should be titled "Just Before Christmas" actually. And hey, it will be out just before Christmas. 2020. And 2021. And 2022. And.....

Thank you! I just happen to know who's behind that FB page. On any case I understand your point, as there's a lot of misinformation being spread everyday, so when somebody reads something from an unknown source the first reaction is always to doubt about it, which is not the case here. smiling smiley

The problem with Christmas gifts is that a lot of times you get something you didn't ask for. That means with our luck we probably get another best off album.eye rolling smiley
