A note of interest apparently...Mick mentioned that besides the new album they are also working on a deluxe Goat's Head Soup release. Anyone hear that?

Goats Head Soup - a very underrated album!

Beyond getting ready for the spring/summer run of dates, Jagger says he working on songs for the new Stones album, wrapping up a reissue of the band's 1973 album Goats Head Soup and preparing for the release of his new film, The Burnt Orange Heresy, which arrives in March.

I wholly agree. Its biggest problem was that it was the next album after EOMS (coming just a year later) so it was judged against ridiculously high standards.

I wonder what ingredients the new Goat's Head Soup 'recipe' will include? Sounds interesting.

Wrapping a reissue does not equal to expanding it with outtakes or unreleased material, though I truly hope so
a new album AND bonus material on a GHS reissue would be like a royal banquet

update: someone on the fb RocksOff page mentioned Mick talking of "a couple of new tracks" on the reissue.
great news if true

Is the GHS reissue the new album or are they two different projects? I can't find the podcast

Will the reissue include the “original” Star Star? Will THAT be deemed a “new” track? ;-)

Will there be incessant whining and whinging about 2019/2020 vocals being over-dubbed onto 1970s backing tracks? No doubt.

Will Mick Taylor add some tasty 2019/2020 guitar licks onto some unfinished 1970s tracks? Perhaps.

I, for one, will gladly take whatever I get. This may be, after all is said and done, the closest I get to “new” Stones music before I, OR heaven forbid, any of The Stones, cark it, given the time the birth of the ACTUAL new album is taking.

How long are elephants pregnant before THEY give birth?

After breaking the tour news Thursday morning in an interview with Q104.3 New York's Jim Kerr, Richards explained that he's taken another step in his ongoing resolution to get healthier and to keep rocking.

"I've given up smoking...since October," Richards said. "Done that, been there (laughs)."

The iconic guitarist who's made headlines in recent years with revelations about giving up liquor and finding today's drugs "not interesting," suggested that his lone remaining vices are rock and roll and the occasional glass of Pinot Grigio.
