October 3rd Pittsburgh would check out as far as the NFL, at least, because the Steelers are on the road that day.

Well that went through the roof rather fast. One rumor about Pittsburgh dates and hotel prices doubled

Not my experience. I just booked a room for two nights and it was a total of $240 less including taxes than the same room I booked last year when the show would have been in June. Spose the difference may be due to summertime vs fall.

Wouldn't Pittsburgh in October be kind of chilly though? OK, maybe not early October.

Pittsburgh Pirates play Cincinnati on October 3rd ,3:05 pm. Hotels near the ball park showing same prices as for other home games . Always wanted to attend a home game at Pittsburgh .
Still have my lucky dips for the concert , so could turn out to be a fantastic day .
Hoping travel is allowed from the U.K by then ..

Bands are booking amphitheatre shows in the east (at least outside WDC) into late October this year.

the Pirates are dreadful this year and that play belongs in Tee Ball.

Wait to get tix....you should be able to get great seats for cheap in Oct. as the Pirates will have no chance for the playoffs....

That doesn't answer the question. It can be cold or not. Luck of the draw. I wouldn't want to be Charlie and its 45 degrees.

I'm happy for you. Where are you staying? My room went from $135 night for booking I had if they had played last year to $357 a night! Same hotel. I did find a room downtown for $200 so grabbed that but is yours a better deal? Thx

Tampa Bucs play home 10/24 and 11/22 so the stadium is open from 10/25 to 11/21
Also open 10/11 to 10/23

So as far as weather goes, the only issues would be Buffalo, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Minneapolis, Detroit and St. Louis are both in Domes. So where would this tour start? Cleveland or Buffalo?

Vancouver has a retractable roof as well.

The 97 tour was all over the northeast in October, Buffalo was 10/8 and giants stadium was 10/16,17 so no issue with outdoor shows in October

97 was a lifetime ago.

These guys have aged almost 25 years since then.

Don't see them being eager to be outside in October unless it's in the south where it is warmer.

Yep, playing in Fall in October in '97 is irrelevant. After seeing Charlie Watts play Chicago in '06, I think e was done with the US in the Fall. I'll even say Keith in an oddly really cold June night for Chicago 1 in 2019 didn't seem to enjoy the weather. And that was June. I think people forget Charlie turns 80 tomorrow....80. Playing a 2 hour set is amazing. Adding cold, wet, windy weather doesn't help.

I’m wondering whether Vancouver can be included info there’s a fall tour. The Canada / US border has been ‘closed’ for more than a year, with lots of exceptions and holes, but still… it’s relatively easy for a Canadian to go to the US but, entering or returning to Canada still requires a 14 day quarantine, no exceptions for folks who are fully vaxed. It may be hard for the band and crew to get across. Also complicates things for Canucks wanting to go to US gigs. Hopefully things will change soon but, if the rules aren’t changed before tix go on sale, we’d be taking a big, non-refundable chance.

Man, SomeTorontoGirl, that has to be frustrating knowing Buffalo is just an hour and a half or so away.

But most tix have already been sold and they are refundable. They will remain refundable for those who can't make the new date. Travel, of course, is another matter altogether.
