Just tonight Ohio closed all bars at 9pm.
Don’t see 50k of us jammed together to see the Stones starting in April.

Get a pair of etymotic earplugs. I find they protect my ears very well, somehow seem to clean up the sound, and you can still have a conversation. Then head for the Pit!

I have those ^^ earplugs too, and they're excellent. I also often find that if the volume level isn't too deafening, they can work best when only half-inserted.

He doesnt generally stay in one place for too long, partly due to tax reasons.

These kind of earplugs is excellent, used them for years. I use them in pubs and noicy environments, they reduce the background noise, so you can still talk and hear people around you.
Personally, I found that they reduce the high frequencies level too much. I finally got a pair of moulded earplugs with exchangable filters a few years ago. They cost 10 times more, but has a more even reduction level. Well worth the cost

Appears like the Stones are still waiting to see how the Corona crisis is developing in the US, perhaps hoping that until Summer the crisis is over and the concerts can take place as scheduled, with possibly rescheduling a few of the early dates. If things develop as in the present extrapolations, they will have to issue a statement sooner or later.

MGM is closing all of its Las Vegas casinos on Tuesday.
The Bellagio, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, New York New York, Excalibur and MGM Grand will close. Wynn has also announced its closing is casino on the Vegas strip.

Also heard earlier today that all Cirque de Soleil shows are temporarily closing along with other big shows (Penn and Teller, David Copperfield, etc.). Had plans to drive there Tuesday w/ free/comped rooms at the Tropicana followed by a few more free nights stay at Mandalay Bay, but after the ZZ Top cancellation a couple days ago (the main reason we were going), had a feeling things would only get worse out there so thought it would be wise to cancel our trip then - glad we did.

Have family in Vegas and many of them work on the strip. The inside joke is they ALWAYS look at their bottom line.
Those casino owners are vermin on a scale that would make Gordon Gekko blush.
The only reason they closed is it was more cost effective because they weren’t doing enough business. And of course Public Safety...lol!
They actually counter sued the victims of the mass shooting, it was a legal maneuver of course but damn.
Great town and It’s like that old saying,You don’t want to know how the sausage is made.

For sure, they can not tour anywhere in the world this year. For sure, Mick, Charlie and Ronnie are stuck in UK now for months, staying apart at home, while Keith is at home in USA.
Next year Charlie is 80 years old. With all the past experiences of hurricanes, laryngitis, heart valve procedure, and now the corinavirus worldwide lockdown, I think 2019 will be the new 2007, i.e. the last year they toured for a while, but it was never planned for.
I knew that the last show would not be a fact until AFTER I had seen it, but I did not expect it to end this way.
Hopefully, in a couple of years, they do a final UK tour. But I really don't know.

I think there will be at least some one off shows in the future. Definitely not this year though. 2020 in hindsight will be one for the history books. Or maybe this is the new world order, all things like concerts will be tentative. In my opinion we were lucky to have most our years in a good way. Best of luck everyone!

I don't know how they technically will announce what is happening with this tour. Legally they might "postpone" it, because the medics look at 30 days periods, and if a miracle happens, the virus might vanish in 4 weeks time. That will not happen, so a postponed tour will within 2-3 months be cancelled.
Point is, this crisis will be long, and I am not sure how keen they will be on exposing themselves to a world where there are so many reasons for cancellations, as we all know from history now. Sure they love to tour, sure they love to travel, but we have all seen that Charlie does not really run down to the B-stage anymore.

I hope you are too pessimistic. Still I don't think that the Corona crisis will go on like this for many years. Probably big tours in 2021/22 will be possible. But at least Charlie will be very old for a stadium rock star then, the oldest stadium rock star in history of mankind. If they still are able to tour then, I wonder how the ticket prices might be. Actually they are already absurd now. On the other hand: who except some houndred (rich) "fools" really needs another partly embarrassing (but great!) Hot Rocks Tour? Good question maybe. Maybe it's time to finish the so called "new album" this year and restart touring (if possible) next year with a new album to promote and a new concept. Or maybe sort of a London residency for a while (O2). But probably this wouldn't make sense financially. We will see.

I had the same thought for some time. Assuming they 'fix' the virus thing in 18 months or so, you could potentially then get to planning another tour, and rehearsing and all of that.
So say conservatively 2 years. That's a long time when you're in your late 70s/early 80s.
Anything is possible but the longer this takes, of course the worse the chance that they will tour again. A few 'finale' shows in London and/or NYC may be possible of course.

To go from having tickets and plans in place for a handful of shows, one less than an hour from my house less than two months away, to the very real possibility that there will be no more shows.. is a bridge I'm not ready to cross yet.
Elton John announced he has halted his world tour until May 2, today.

Then reality returned and I remembered there is no way this tour is not postponed, or canceled. I'm going to remain optimistic and hope for a postponement and if offered, hold on to all my tickets. Very aware that Santa Clara was likely my last show, and I will also no doubt quickly get to the acceptance stage of that, but I'm not rushing there.
