Imagine Corona Virus in US concert cities. Would everything be cancelled?
Maybe they will sell masks in the stadiums. Imagine a concert where everybody wears a white mask ....

gives them one more chance to sell overpriced merchandise (i.e. as mask with the Stones logo)

but jokes aside: if the corona virus reaches american cities and hits them (relatively) hard the tour as well as other mass events (sports etc) might be canceled for public health reasons

There are some reports that the virus has already hit the states if that’s true then it will be mainstream news in the next days.

I have flights booked to Italy and various places in Asia but I still plan to go unless I’m forced to cancel them.

I was watching the news and warm temperatures help with killing the virus.

Does anyone know if that is true?

Its just a guess. Some countries with victims are warm so only time will tell.

There are now reports of this virus taking hold in San Francisco.

Nate

"Taking hold?" - way to spread panic!

The mayor declared a state of emergency (it's an American thing - a way to secure state/federal funding), but there are apparently no coronavirus cases in the city.

Just noticed how many more floor seats there are in Vancouver than the other venues.

Not including the two Pits and any rear GA, most venues have approximately 3900 floor seats.

Vancouver has 5500 not to mention a large GA section at the back. This is also the best selling show thus far. I guess they did their homework on this one.

Interesting info Jeter...
BC Place lists capacity for a concert at 54k.
Wouldn't surprise me if this one ends up being a legit sellout.

This will be a legit sellout. I'm actually surprised there are still tickets left. As far as the floor seats, BC Place, like all football stadiums in Canada, is designed for Canadian Football which has a bigger field than US football. CFL field is 110 yards long with 20 yard end zones so 155 total yards by 65 yards wide. NFL field is 100 yards with 10 yard end zones and 53.5 yards wide. So 35 yards longer and 12 yards wider. Looking at the stadium maps on ticketmaster, most of the US stadiums look more square as opposed to more rectangular like BC Place.

Which show(s) do you refer to?

EDIT: looks like at least San Diego and Vancouver have it.

Atlanta, OTOH, doesn't. Neither does Tampa. Speaking of which: Tampa Pit 1's are going for 550 + fees at the moment.

can you give a specific example or two?

Section 135 row J. Those are now $372. The blue dots. Yesterday they were VIP BLUE PACKAGE for $675 . Friend of mine upgraded from Section 133 Row J to there. They are now the same price as when he bought his. Cost $10 each tickets to move 2 sections closer. But there are lots of them dropping.

Corona beer will certainly impact the tour for me. The virus not so much.

Does anyone know if that is true?

Viruses spread more in the cold months simply because everyone spends more time indoors in closer quarters coughing and sneezing on each other and touching door handles/knobs.

As for that moron the US has the pleasure of being president, does he not realise that in the southern hemisphere it is actually summer right now and Australia has confirmed cases? It's not exactly cold in Asia, especially the South East any time of year yet it appears to be rampant.

So yeah, in summary - like pretty much everything that comes out of the orange buffoons mouth its utter bullshit.

I guess everyone at the NPR (not exactly known as a bastion of conservatism) and all of the medical experts cited by the NPR are morons and buffoons as well:

And it's supposed to be 49 in Wuhan China (ground zero of the virus), and 43 in Seoul South Korea tomorrow per a quick check of Google weather, not exactly a tropical paradise.

I have about 600 us dollars i can spend on tickets

I need at least two tickets but could do with four.

which tickets do I buy? 2 really good seats for one show. 4 mid range tickets for one show or get the cheapest I can and go to multiple shows?

Seriously IORR where in the stadium should I buy?

A friend and I discussed this the other day, and he said "I'm better off going to just two shows with excellent seats (or in the Pit), instead of multiple shows with cheaper mediocre seats", and can't say I disagree with that.
I suppose it can depend on how many times you've already seen them, but having seen quite a few shows myself (and at this late point of their career), it's quality over quantity. Gotta go with the best possible, and leave it at that.
On the other hand, multiple shows would include the traveling experience which can be fun itself, so lots if things to take in to consideration.

Cheapest you can and do multiple shows.
Lucky Dips being the best option, but if starting now, I would get four standing GA's if possible.
With fees, close to the budget and best value imo.

I'm waiting before purchasing tickets. Tampa is the closest venue. However. I want to see how the set list is going to be for this tour and if there are any other external factors (hurricanes, ticket availability, etc,,) that may impact sales or schedule.

I've had 10th Ronnie's side for an arena show during licks which put me eye level with Charlie. I've had floor next to the B stage on Bigger Bang and then the upper deck at Churchill Downs for Bigger Bang, all over the furthest, highest sections on Steel Wheels and 81', 20th row behind Charlie on No Security.

I missed Zip Code and the other No Filter shows with work and other obligations but this time is different and will probably be my last affordable chance to see them-after all one can always get a great ticket when money is not a problem.

I'm thinking pit or floor GA. Either I go all in or just go to have a good time and enjoy the night(s).

Thanks everyone.
