I was looking on ticketmaster at some of the dates and it looks like American Express is offering presales.

"American Express Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Wednesday, February 12 at 10am local time through Thursday, February 13 at 10pm local time." -- [RaymondJamesStadium.com] , [www.USBankStadium.com] , [www.BuffaloBills.com] , [www.Panthers.com] , [MercedesBenzStadium.com] , [www.BCPlace.com] .

Any idea which pre-sale (Fan Club or Amex)offers best tix or both the same?

You can also register for presale right on the Stones' official site and through some specific venues. The Ford Field (Detroit) website has a presale registration link.

BV thanks for the early heads up on the dates. Got a hotel in Pittsburgh & Buffalo booked. Now hoping for LD’s again.

I assume there’s a different allocation for each pre-sale.

In my experience the two are very close to each other. Think of the top and bottom of a five row portion of a section. AMEX holders notwithstanding, the less expensive stuff goes first. The cheapest seats are not available via AMEX presales.

Has anyone ever acquired face-value PIT tix ($500, not one of the Start Me Up or gold or silver packages) through the presales or on the day of the general sale?

I had no luck for months but eventually got them for my shows with much persistence/annoyance... All was forgiven when SFM kicked off the show. >grinning smiley<

I got mine last year for Chi 1&2 and Sea closer to the show. I don't think I even tried during the presales but do seem to recall there was some availability during them?

Any rumours as to opening acts?

It's a summertime tour, hopefully they include some solid opening acts. I'd love to see a couple openers. They can slot in those cheesy filler bands but put on a veteran band for second billing. This tour badly needs a George Thorogood or Alice Cooper to rev up the crowd, something they are very good at. It would also be nice to have Stevie Wonder and Santana make a special appearance as second billing at a show.

I'll be seeing Alice in Abbotsford near Vancouver a few weeks prior to the Stones show. He has hinted he'll be opening for AC/DC this year! Thorogood is also coming to Vancouver soon.

In looking at the Austin setup, I'm thinking this may be THE show of this leg!
(course, I will say that about any of the ones I'm able to attend cool smiley)

Despite the daunting number of people expected, I am thrilled that they will have a Golden Circle section (where you stand on the track no less)!! Also, interested in checking out (purely for curiosity sake winking smiley) the "Voodoo Pool Party". Hope the weather is decent. With local bands playing other stages, a bit reminiscent of the Desert Trip environment, although I won't be pitching a tent in the "Honkey Tonk Camping Area" this time.

Could be a broiler down on the track... Hydration will be key!!

Seems like a good time, and they put in ALOT of effort for just one show (and yes it's tempting), but I've read some not so favorable accounts of the venue.
I suppose that's the case for every venue though - some will like it better than others, and alot of that depends on mindset, seating location, etc., etc.

True enough.
Average high for that date historically is 88 and low 69.
Hadn't considered the heat from the track though.. Hot Stuff cool smiley

Looks like a new stage configuration. No pit 1 & 2, 2 walkways, 'club carter'(?) and 'vip'. This might mean no GA. Weird.

BC Place map from TM:

Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but they are not playing NYC or LA. I wonder what that means.

Hmmm weird....could be a layout for a different artist?
San Diego on Ticketmaster is showing the regular stage setting w/pit, etc.

***EDIT: All other venues (except BC and Austin) look to have a similar layout as San Diego.
Look at Austin floorplan on TM - clearly the wrong layout - Austin

Ha! Yeah. TM screwed up. That's a map for Jay-Z/Beyonce. Thank god!

And they were still raking it in up to just a few minutes ago - looks like they fixed it now, but the 'presale happening now' link was active when I last posted. TicketBastards....winking smiley
