Ronnie wasn't a Stone when he did Own Album, but I'm being a tad anal here.

Ronnie has indeed done some great albums. "I Feel Like Playin" from 2010 is very good, too!

by carefully programming you CD player you can turn it into a wonderful album (or rather seperate the two albums the record is made of)

Along with Talk Is Cheap, if they had combined the songs from those two into a Stones record it would have been smokin'

That would be tough to make a single album, let's say 12 tracks max. And even tougher if you had to limit it to just 2 Keith tracks!!

Great album, still played regularly.

Don't forget Ronnie's Slide on This -that's a great album as well.

Talk is Cheap, Main Offender and CH to add. MT's self entitled 1979 and A Stones Throw and Ronnie's Give Me Some Neck and I got my own album To Do, I Feel Like Playing.

No Keith album can touch Wandering Spirit

Re: Wandering Spirit
Date: January 30, 2020 22:21

It is the best Jagger solo record. But I'd take even some of Charlie's solo work over most of Jagger's albums.
Re "wandering Spirit" I do think it would have been stronger w/o all the covers. Nothing against covers; it is just these particular covers don';t break any new ground at all. They are readings of a song.

Re: Wandering Spirit
Date: January 30, 2020 23:33

I thought it was fantastic for a long time. I still love the album, but with time I realised there is a good portion of filler on it (Mother Of A Man, Hang On To Me Tonight, Think, Put Me In The Trash). I like the energy of Wired All Night, but it's a pretty poor song.

Sweet Thing, Don't Tear Me Up and Evening Gown are fantastic. Perfection.

I cannot find it on You Tube, but Jagger did great versions of Don't Tear Me Up and Sweet Thing on Saturday Night Live wearing a cool green shirt and dark suit

I think Don't Tear Me Up is one of Jagger's best vocal perfomances ever.
