Still drives us crazy Marks has the publishing to this number. The name "Rudolph" is all it took!

CBII, Marvin Brodie was the name of an A&R guy at United Artists and later Cameo-Parkway in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Did he actually have anything to do with writing the song? Just curious because the original 45 lists your Dad and M. Brodie as songwriters and not Johnny Marks. I was also curious if Homer and Jethro's "Randolph the Flat-Nosed Reindeer" (which Johnny Marks also ended up with credit for because it borrowed his original tune) factored in since your Dad name-checks Randolph for fun.

Neither one of those guys had anything to do with writing Run Rudolph Run. The consolation prize for my dad was it became a pretty popular holiday number. Case in point it being discussed here and being regarded so highly by members of IORR. That is a BIG deal to me.
