Not O.T... CANTOR Retirement ... Stones Content

Last weekend our temple held a farewell celebration honoring the career of our longtime cantor who was retiring. The accompaniment consisted of: piano, acoustic guitar, upright bass, sax/flute, percussion.
After the performance, I walked over to the woodwind player, a fellow congregant. "I really enjoyed tonight's music," I said, introducing myself. "And I am a huge fan of that other band you play with."

I was speaking to Tim Ries.

So which one is his "day job?"

I really thought you were talking about Eddie Cantor. I've seen him as far back as Ziegfeld movies. And I was like "Oh he's been rocking up until now? Pretty good..."

So.....did you get the scoop on next year's tour with his "other band"?

Congrats to Tim. Let’s hope he stays busy!

I didn't ask.
He didn't say.
You know the answer anyway.

That sounds like a song lyric...

Nope... Just spoke to him very briefly.

Nice story. Glad you didn't make him uncomfortable with Stones questions. You wouldn't want to make him feel unwelcome because he's been recognized.

Have a Happy Hanukkah, schillid.
