I gave it my undivided - but fading - attention before pausing to post. Ultimately abandoned it with 90 minutes to go. Kudos to Dan for lasting longer.

Just finished watching. What a fantastic film! 1 of the best I've seen this year. I'd still give the nod to "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" as best of the year but not by much. Highly recommended!

I'm glad it was on Netflix. Sitting in a theater for 3.5 hours wouldn't be good even if it did fly by. I have pretty good set up at home. I'll watch it again! Like I missed Steve Van Zandt in it. Know what to look for now. Worth it especially for DeNiro & Pesci. Pacino is good too. I was thinking about dropping Netflix but this will keep me from doing that for awhile. This & the Breaking Bad movie. Have a good holiday all (in the states).

What’s the soundtrack like? I think Robbie Robertson was involved in it...
I’ll be settling In to watch this over the weekend. I’ll be read a bit about Sheehan and Hoffa before so it’ll be interesting to see how the movie plays out the situation.

Soundtrack is great, with old music, and new theme by Robertson.
Acting, terrific by everyone, especially DeNiro, Pacino and Peschi, who amost stole the show at times.

Just came back from the Theatre after watching the movie. Great film, Pesci was outstanding and it was great to finally see Pacino working with Scorsese. However I bought on the minute they were released and choose the best seats but me and the missus still got rubbish seats at the wing, not nice. But the film was Amazing.

Saw it at the cinema here in Germany a couple of weeks ago. Luckily the original english version was screened.
I'm still impressed about this masterpiece.

I guess I am missing some of the excitement....it's entertaining, but it certainly missed the excitement of a Good Fellows or something.
What bothered me was this digital aging stuff. They are all old man now, and you can see that in their faces obviously, but they all also have old man's bodies and hands, and they didn't do anything about that. So you seen DeNiro kicking a grocery store guy, but you actually you see an old man with the face of a facelifted 40-year old DeNiRo kicking the guy....that just didn't work for me. Worst is Pesci, who is really old now, and seemed to have shrunk into a gollem. But thanks to digital aging a gollem with the face of a 40-year old who had to many botox injections.

Well I agree with Mathijs, it's noway near Goodfellas or Casino.
My favourite scene was Pacino dancing with his daughter, so beautiful.
And I for one don't think the americans started to kill ordinary Wehrmacht soldiers back in Anzio and letting they dig their own graves. That might have happened after the Malmedy massacre. The research for that scene was horrible.

OMG , The Great Martin Scorsese came out with maybe his greatest film to date. What a masterpiece performance by the Great Robert Deniro, Joe Pesci and Al Pacino and veritable Mt Rushmore of great Thespians . For me this was awesome as I followed this story from growing up and reading of this large and powerful Jimmy Hoffa the head of the Teamsters . The ending makes sense to me as Hoffa's remains have never been found . Great Movie !!!!!

I am in the minority here, but I must've missed something. I will re-watch. Because, while yes, it is great to see the masters all together, I did not quite get it. I mean, I don't get all the hooplah.

Also - the players in those sagas, this mostly factual story, surely were not all old men.
The biggest thing I took with me from the film were Pacino's white socks. Hoffa must have been a fan of the 6-pack tube sox.
