Always loved this tune, and the marimba adds that unique early/mid '60's Stonesy vibe ala Under My Thumb.
Can't recall the first time I ever heard it, but it's fits in the same category as all the other classic Stones "oldies" as if it's always been there.
Has a unique Motown essence - especially in the chorus, and the lyrics are quite good and biting "You're obsolete my baby ".
As for Chris Farlowe and his version, never heard it until probably a decade ago. I don't think he ever quite made it here in the US - ever.
Doesn't bother me that they haven't played it live, and especially in the latter era as they probably would have butchered it to death.
