OT: UEFA Euro 2020

Bloody hell... Finland made it.. just took 84 years to get in a major football tournament (WC and Euro). Sometimes it's been close, mostly not. The whole country went nuts. Finally we are culturally a whole-blooded civilized European country..grinning smiley

What a different feel to follow the games next summer. Like about everyone on a planet/Europe, always enjoyed watching the games (best sports on earth), but without a nationalist twist... just for 'aesthetic reasons' and picking up a favourite team that happens to charm my eye... now it's different altogether...

Congrats, Finland!

Good team. Pukki and Camara are class players. I also know Toivio and Pirunen from the Norwegian league. Well deserved!

Norway will have to go through the Nations League semi finals and finals to qualify, because of two awful games against Romania (and two draws against Sweden).

pukki wasnt that good at celtic to my disapiontment but hes doing well now.

congrats finland, but as usual scotland are not there unless they win a play off through the new league system.

the new system of qualifying is a bit of a farce though as teams can enter play off despite only winning the bottom tier league while teams in a higher league can get knocked out and not make play off.

if they want teams to enter via play off then the top 16 sides whohavent already qualified participate regardless of thier league positions in the nations league.

apart from that looking forward to the euros its always a great tournement.

good to see holland back and italy too after missing out recently.

minimum of 14.500 spectators???

Maybe in total for all 3 group-matches and 1 quarter-final in Munich .... just kidding. winking smiley

Serious: "In the documents submitted for Munich, three scenarios were outlined - depending on the course of the pandemic: The most likely ('lead') envisages 14,500 spectators, which corresponds to a capacity utilisation of the arena of a good 20 per cent. The 'upscale' scenario, described as 'unlikely', envisages just under 27,000 spectators (40.2 per cent). In the 'backup' version, a maximum of 7,000 people. If the course of the pandemic makes it necessary, however, none at all." - [www.Sueddeutsche.de] .
