The first shot of Ronnie was from the floor with a glass of wine next to him!...how ever false alarm as it was Imelda's with ronnie and jools on coke! (the drink) i woory that temptation must be in every studio, theatre etc.

It was also great that Ronnie was the only 6 string guitar player, so it was 100% ronnie.

Anyone thinking Keith could have done this for his album

Yes, I thought so at the time Keith was doing his promotional work for the album.
He could have done a number of things eg just a chat with Jools but not perform, showed a recorded video, or done a couple of tracks from the album with Jools + studio band. An acoustic of Goodnight Irene would be an obvious choice.
Not too much effort...its not live (what is these days) so plenty of opportunities to 'get it right'.
In the UK it's about the only decent regular music show. Format is somewhat stale now but heck better to have it than nothing at all.

Yes, Something like that would have been nice wouldn't it....It's a shame they never do stuff like that.

It would need a lot of luck with the timing I suppose . It's not the kind of thing they'd come together just to do ...and rounding them up for anything other than a tour requires one heck of a sheepdog !

Hey Annie,

Are you over for the Ronnie gigs? If so, enjoy!

I haven't heard the album yet but am a big fan of Ronnie solo. I saw him live in Dublin 2001, his band had Slash! It was amazing - I was right up front, infront of Slash, watching he and Ronnie trade Stones riffs, blues riffs..etc. Loved the album "Not For Beginners".

Saw him in 2005 I think it was, "Ronnie Wood and Fiends", special guest was Mick Jagger on "Dance"!!

Ah yes, I remember you’re a big Ronnie fan! Yes, am in town for a bit, I only needed an excuse to come back! Never been here at this time of year before so am really enjoying it. Sorry you’re not at the shows but know you’ll enjoy the album! Take care sweetie!
