What is the source? Original analogue tapes? Analogue to digital? Who mastered this pressing? I can find no info online so far.

I'm with you grinning smiley.

I'm a big vinyl fan but I'm only interested in what it sounds like.

I'm nor bothered what colour the vinyl is, or how rare the pressing is.

I want to know what re-issues were mastered from and whether the engineer had a half a clue what he was doing .winking smiley

Usually they will note if it’s at least 180 gram vinyl which they have not. I have a vertical turntable so these colored vinyl records are fun to watch spin while they play, but they certainly are not audiophile quality vinyl reissues.

"180 gm Audiophile vinyl" means absolutely nothing .

I'm sick to the back teeth of seeing it plastered all over every new warped, noisy and poorly mastered record being pressed today.

Now that does interest me .

It's no guarantee that it will be wonderful but most of the Abbey Road mastered stuff is very good ...

...not too badly compressed and sometimes the next best thing to the original pressings in my experience.

I don't believe Alex Gordon has done any of the previous Stones stuff but I'll be keen to hear it.

I'll never take to coloured vinyl...but if all else is dome well I can live with it.

So, has anyone heard this one yet?

Yes, I did. Though, I'm not an audiophile and my ear is not trained enough to review a new re-master of old stereophonic tapes/master. IMO, it sounds rather well. Bye, Luca

Unless these jokers are planning on getting series with a limited edition Chartreuse coloured vinyl release, I'm taking myself out of the game.

Beware of music media that says "Collector's Item" as well.

Why?

At least we've been made aware as to whether it's collectible or not. How the heck else are we supposed to tell?

EDIT:
BTW...that was a joke, for posterity's sake.

Having only had an old second hand copy for the longest time, and also a US copy, this sounds fresh. It’s got a weird track list though and I like it. Great sound off it from my stereo. (Not high end, I assure you)

I'm sticking with my old "laminated with Clarifoil " .

For all the old Decca albums ....nothing will ever beat one of those if its still in decent fettle

Found an excellent, seemingly unplayed 75(?) issue Aftermath 'laminated with Clarifoil' for 200 SEK in Stockholm this year. A bargain, had to buy it
