I believe the reissue with bonus material will happen and get the usual promotions. I don't doubt this vinyl though.

It was rereleased and it's still available here in The Netherlands.

Correct, but why not have it mentioned on Keith's site officially. It's not available on his site's store.

I have no idea and it't not a realy clever move.
I didn't know it was rereleased till today when I read this topic, for example.

How is Mick Taylor’s playing on the bonus tracks?

Keith still bears a grudge it seems. Mr. Drayton is fortunate there are no band photos to airbrush him out of. The fate of bass players who quit a band.

I've never been able to figure out what happened.

Take your pick. There's no shortage of "insider" info including an almost certainly ridiculous story about he and Steve Jordan fighting over a woman. The two most likely scenarios are these:

1.) He and Keith fell out after he asked Keith about replacing Bill Wyman in the Stones and was told he wasn't the right guy for the gig.

2.) He and Keith fell out after Keith sided with Steve Jordan who wanted to concentrate on drums and keep Charley as the bass player when Charley preferred they rotate more.

Sounds childish. Which isn't exactly surprising considering some of the things that have been reported over the years between Keith and Mick. Their whole feud in the 1980s was one of the dumbest things ever, a back and forth 'NO I'll take MY ball home' - 'My ball is better' 'Nuh uhhhh, because my ball is purple' "stand off". Excellent immaturity.

I watched UNDER THE INFLUENCE again last night. The bits of Chuck and Keith talking about Chuck's amp... bitchy drama that's ridiculous. Chuck with his I'M CHUCK BERRY and Keith with his dramatic 'but this is for life' bit.

It's ok, but a bit anonymous sound-wise, imo.

Yes, I bought it in Japan, at a Tower Records store. The Tower Records Japan company was independant from the main company since 1999...

Anonymous is a good way to describe MT playing on the bonus tracks DandelionPowderman. If not in the credits I would not believe it. Don't look for his typical soloing.

I've just found this vinyl by chance today at the local Tower records. I don't know if it's pressed from digital or from the analog tapes, but it sounds really good. Much better than the original CD anyway.
I find this new vinyl quite bass heavy so it's possible the sound was tweaked somehow... but it doesn't sound like the over-remastered mess that is the TIC reissue.
If you don't have this album on vinyl, it's a must have imho.

Agreed. Picked it up tonight and enjoyed what I’ve heard so far. Straight to Words of Wonder and Hate it When You Leave...thumbs up

I mentioned three rumors I've heard. I'm sure there are others. And the truth could be something completely different and quite unexciting.

Just like his work on "I Could Have Stood You Up." As good as Waddy is on "Locked Away," that's the one I would have loved to hear Taylor really go to town on with Keith.

That would be hysterical if it were the case, Terry.
