Oh yeah and don't forget Her Love Rubbed Off …

Drunken rockabilly cut at Sun late '56 …
But at the time Sam chose not to release it …….Later covered by The Cramps

That love rubbed off on me
My baby wouldn't let me be
My baby wouldn't let me go
That love, I hollered no, no, no
That baby wouldn't let me be
My baby wouldn't set me free

That woman hollered more, more, more
Oh, baby, don't you let me go
Oh, baby, won't you hold my hand?
Oh, baby, her love rubbed off on me
Her love rubbed off on me, ooh

I'm thinking it, the sessions with Harrison / Edmunds / Starr etc wasn't filmed at the Capital Theatre, but at a studio in Limehouse, London.

Carl made some great recordings, post Blue Suede Shoes, post Sun too, i.e Restless, Big Bad Blues, Pointed Toe Shoes, etc, but seemed a wee bit too content to sit back at the sidelines.

What used to annoy me about Carl was the pastel blue jumpsuit period in the late 70s early 80s, as if he was paying homage to Elvis. It was totally bizarre, and I think Jerry Lee Lewis used to have a go at him over that.

The London gig, filmed for TV was brilliant.
George was on top form and looked healthy and happy.
Never understood why he didn't get round to recording an 'Oldies' album...Rock n roll standards. And others which influenced him in the beginning. Such a shame.

Many years' back, at an auction house, John Wayne's toupe went for a considerable fee. I just wonder who inherited, or has anyone sold, Carl's collection of hair pieces. They're on a parity with Tony Bennett's.

And then there was Tony Curtis: his seemed deliberately over the top.
Whereas Art Garfunkel's does attempt to look like his 1960's hairstyle.
Anyone heard the tale of Art leaving his hairpiece on a train (or aeroplane)? I think that is hilarious.
