Here comes the rising sons
Here comes the rising sons, and I say
It's all right

Little darling,
the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling,
it seems like years since it's been here

Sons, sons, sons, here they come
Sons, sons, sons, here they come

Too bad, French.
They might not get 5 points against US because of the typhoon 18th.

New Zealand 4.8m people v Canada 30m people. NZ v China, NZ v India... It's how you play the game, not how many people you have...

Rugby... The Greatest Game

I see New Zealand beat us (Canada) 63-0! Didn't realize we were even playing in it! There are a little over 30 million people in Canada, probably 99% don't follow rugby though.

Disappointed for my adopted home country. NZ are the likely winners though.

I'm sure New Zealand will win, the Allblacks are the only team that I know in the world. Are rugby and Aussie rules football similar or totally different sports? Are they played on a similar sized field?

I’m guessing the Aussie rules is bigger, but it’s oval so hard to tell. I know a GAA pitch is larger than a rugby pitch. I’m Irish, so maybe an Aussie might now!

Got over the Russians, but nothing in the game to give hope for tougher teams. Steel stinging from that defeat to Japan.

We were singing along with karaoke of Bowie, Oasis and the Clash on the stadium screen. Not Stones.
Both team had to deal with high humidity and a slippery ball.

Horrible organisation. No backup plan like playing on monday. If japan scotland is called off the whole world will laugh at rugby.

Hope everyone will be safe!

BP win today so we’re through to the quarterfinals. Our usual exit point. Hopefully not so this time around. The Scotland v. Japan thing is a farce. Why this game couldn’t be rescheduled I don’t know.

I've just watched the best game of the tournament so far.
Well done Japan.

As a Scot, I'm disappointed Scotland are out but they at least got the chance to settle the matter on the field of play. The Scottish radio pundits were very objective and full of praise for Japan. We now have another nation with a decent team which adds depth to the sport and should stimulate interest in Japan itself.

I'm a football (Soccer to North Americans) fan rather than a Rugby fan but I think Rugby Pundits are so much better. They're invariably objective, non partizan and as likely to praise good play by the opposition as their own side. Football could learn a lot from that. But it won't sad smiley

i think rugby has lost a lot of credibility with the situation that games could be cancelled and teams go out of the tournament due to playing less games or teams getting through having played more games.

i cant recall this type of situation happening in any other sport.

it defeats sporting integrity.
