... Then all of the tracks that you imagine were omitted could be rare tracks on a Deluxe Anniversary Reissue Boxset.

If I was going to make it a single album, I would omit SBA. Very difficult to choose!

Sorry for the negativity, Jordy! I'm sure we've been over this proposal dozens of times, but I appreciate your enthusiasm and the new threads you create.

It’s a complete piece to me. Rarely do i listen to individual songs off that album. I like how it all flows, including where I need to get up and change sides.

Comment made me think of L.A. Woman by the Doors. What a song....On the other hand, not sure why the ML is considered a masterpiece.

Exile is like Tusk, The White Album, London Calling: it should never, ever be whittled down to a single album.

Then the question is, was it also appreciated as the double LP.............

Questions like, what if Let It Bleed was a double LP is much better ..........

If anything, I'd vote to make it a triple album.

Stop Breaking Down (4:34)
Shine A Light (4:14)
Soul Survivor (3:49)

TOTAL: (48:33)

I find it a very interesting aspect. There are a couple of ways to look at it. One way is your favorite tracks, obviously.

But perhaps more interesting is to just use the France/Los Angeles tracks - that would make STICKY FINGERS a double LP.

I cannot imagine Exile as a single album.

The same for Blonde on Blonde, Tommy, Quadrophenia or the White Album...

Could you dance on that music with one leg? Impossible...

Now that would make it interesting!!

STICKY FINGERS AS A DOUBLE LP:

Brown Sugar
Sway
Shake Your Hips
Wild Horses
Bent Green Needles (Sweet Black Angel)
Can't You Hear Me Knocking
You Gotta Move
Sweet Virginia
Loving Cup
Good Time Women (Tumbling Dice)
Bitch
I Got The Blues
Sister Morphine
All Down The Line
Shine A Light
Stop Breaking Down
Dead Flowers
Moonlight Mile

EXILE is under 70 minutes, it's a single disc - the standard for physical music to this day. I say it works fine.

I understand. I was just saying if at the time they decided they only wanted it to be a single LP, what it might have looked like.

I know, Jordy. I can make it a three-sided LP easily, but not just two sides. Easier to lose a limb.

I could've also thrown in Manassas - the first album by Stephen Stills, Chris Hillman, Al Perkins, Joe Lala, Dallas Taylor, etc. Another great double album, coincidentally recorded around the same time as Exile, and featuring one Bill Wyman on a track.

Likewise I also think Eat A Peach by The Allmans is a double album, and nobody would want to shave tracks off of that.
