I honestly didn’t know anything about the Manchester music scene called "Madchester" or "Baggy". So yesterday i started listening to something and...friends...there’s so many f?!@@ good stuff!!!
I’m already madly in love with "This How It Feels" by Inspiral Carpets and "I’m the resurrection" by The Stone Roses.
I’m still in the beginning.... better late than never!

Lots to discover - this is where I started back when this was released in 1990.

The Charlatans (UK) - Sproston Green

The Charlatans (UK) - Everything Changed

The Charlatans (UK)- The Only One I Know

Every album of theirs from the '90's is good (I bought them all including all singles on vinyl), but after that hit or miss - still a great live band though!
Read all about them: The Charlatans

Way back in the 60s a (famous) band named The Animals already put Manchester on the map

The Charlatans, Stone Roses and Happy Monday’s. These were probably the three biggest ‘Madchester’ acts.

I recommend The Stone Roses (album) and The Charlatans’ Melting Pot best-of.

Freddie and the Dreamers were from Manchester.
Easy mistake to make!
