Thinking of everything since 50th Anniv. as one tour, it's interesting to see the break down

Total shows: 140
Club/Theater shows: 7
Arena Shows: 36 (including NYC MSG hurricane relief)
Stadium shows: 97

From November 2012 to July 2013: 30 shows (22 in 2013 and 8 in 2012)

2014: 29 shows

2015: 17 shows

2016: 19 shows (14 in Latin America, 5 around Desert Trip, incl. private show)

2017: 14 shows, all stadium

2018: 14 shows, all stadium

2019: 17 shows, all stadium

Some festivals and outdoor events they did don't really qualify as stadium shows. Glastonbury, Hyde Park, Circo Massimo, Pinkpop, Roskilde and Desert Trip were the Stones in a field.

True, I threw those in the same category (big shows). Someone can separate it out if they feel like it!

Circo Massimo wasn’t a festival. It was a stand-alone Stones concert with their own stadium stage production. Just like Spielberg, Lucca, Hamburg, Prague, Burl’s Creek, etc.

2015 had one of the largest crowds (93k +) I've ever seen them in at Le Festival d'ete de Quebec. Another festival appearance on the tour (Milwaukee) had one of the smallest for the tour (25k) outside club/private gigs.

Curious what the pay differential was between the two shows.
Not the gross, but what each festival paid the band to appear.

Good times cool smiley

so what if the stones play in a field.

a cow plays in a field

but its still a cow.

if the stones play a concert and make money from it by being in a field then it counts as a show and towards total gross income.

Interesting as it shows what we could expect moving forward.

it's interesting that in 2012 and 2013 they did mostly arenas, in 2014 it was a mix of arenas and stadiums, and since 2015 they've done stadiums and "fields" almost exclusively (only exceptions: Vegas 2016, Fonda 2015, and the 3 US private shows done in 2015 and 2016. Paris 2017 was done in a medium sized brand new indoor stadium)

looks like that in 2012/2013 they cautiously tested demand (after 5-6 yrs off the road), and that from 2014 onwards they guadually went "full bore" to maxsimize attendances (and thus revenues)

Also, I think with less seats available in 2012-13 and more of a "special event" feel they were able to get us used to insane prices, which then continued on

There also was a show somewhere in Asia in a sort of ballroom with a really low ceiling. It looked like the weirdest place for the Stones to play there, I wonder how it sounded

it was kinda of a "large club show"
